One Shot Mercat

It was a strange experience. Hotel lobby could do with being utilised more - it felt very cold and useless where they could really make the space more useful or somewhere you would want to be.
Hotel reception struggled with English which wasn’t an issue however over multiple attempts of conversation we felt very awkward and uncomfortable there.
Twice we left the hotel and upon returning the hotel sliding glass door to enter had been locked from the inside so we couldn’t get in and had to wait for staff to return to reception again. One of these times it took so long I had to phone head office of the hotel chain who transferred me to the reception of the hotel, of which we could clearly see was empty so was not useless and we just had to wait - very frustrating.
The room was very dark, i’m not sure why they’d paint half of it black.
Looked like some of the floorboard was rotting.
We also were quite scared once evening when there was a banging noise coming from the shower. After investigation we believed it must have been upstairs shower leaking into ours. The light stopped working at this point so we were concerned re electricity risk. After this point we showered in the dark, which as mentioned the room was very dark anyway so this was tricky.
It could do we a refresh and transformation. For the price we were very disappointed. I’ve just done quite a few 3 night holidays across different places in Spain and Portugal and this was the most disappointing hotel yet

Nothing to dislike

We were assured multiple times that the reception desk was manned 24 hours, however when we returned at around 11 pm on the second night (Sunday 9th August) the glass door was locked and the (visible) reception desk inside was entirely vacant. There was no remote way to open the door (no electronic opening) and this was far from ideal with a 7 year old who needed the toilet. We knocked, called and telephoned multiple times with no response. Eventually after about ten minutes we managed to gain access via the neighbouring (unrelated) restaurant. Still no-one came to the front desk. I appreciate that emergencies happen, but if they had simply taken the time to fix a note to the door with a return time or advised that access could be gained via the restaurant it would have saved us a lot of bother and ensured I left an entirely positive review.

Poche prese elettriche, balcone non attrezzato, colazione assolutamente no, costa tantissimo e non c'è un granché, poca scelta , poca quantità, niente cornetti niente affettati o formaggi, dolci confezionati, insomma la colazione non ne vale
