Yes very.Room on Wiind in the Willows theme. Bed soft and room far too hot. Found small sirt of termites in the bedding and was itichy in the morning, with bites developing the next day.
Could do with a sign at bottom of drive to reception shower not very clean comfy bed
Been before and really central to everything although the accommodation has went down hill in my opinion. Bathroom didnt have a nice smell stained glass at bottom of shower door, toilet had yellow marks around rim of seat and around the fixings. Cant remember if they had a fridge last time we stayed but didnt this time and really needs one. 3 people staying and only 2 cups. Still had a lovely time overall.
Central to main attractions of Matlock Bath ( Very Good )
area require good tidy
Staff need little more customer engagement
Apartment ( Within WILLOWS ) over Themed items like BRANCHES IN ROOM,Items Like SMALL COOLER would be helpful..ROOM NOT CLEANED to a Cleaning Standard
dirty toilet paper in toilet Glasses Filthy 2 Cups both sticky /dirty old milk pots ( 2 ) in bin we stayed 2 nights stayed out most of time I Cleaned IF I WAS STAYING LONGER WITH A YOUNG CHILD I would of COMPLAINED 100% Fire exit used a lot by other guest which made hell of a noise ....Carpets need deep clean bad smell NO I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND Especially if going with young child
Fantastic stay. Super room. Wonderful entertainment for kids. Reasonably priced food. Will return.
Stayed in a Wuzard Room at Explorers Retreat which was perfect fir our granddaughter. Really well decorated and special. Breakfast selection was limited but reasonably priced. Accessibility to Gulliers was perfect 4 min walk.
The main parts (bedding, bathroom items) were clean but don’t look any closer at skirtings, radiators, edges or carpets etc. these were grim, dusty and full of cobwebs. The bedding didn’t fit the bed, the sheet didn’t reach the top of the bed and I had to redo the quilt cover.
I picked up a handful of bits of fluff and debris from the floor before putting my baby down to avoid him putting them in his mouth, his feet were black from crawling.
Lovely stay, great entertainment for the kids at night. Room was cosy, bed nice and comfortable. Could do with a few more tea bags as only 2 in the room.
What an amazing stay for the price great all round
After reading the reviews I was looking forward to this stay however I was in shock with how different it was. The smell of our princess suite was awful, absolutely damp and the bathroom was the worst. A very very strong smell of sewage and body odour. We found it really uncomfortable to sleep in but the kids bunk beds were the nicest bit. They enjoyed themselves so I would say this is not worth the money at all
The room was spacious and clean. And had a outside area. The fridge could be a bit bigger though.
Amazing location. Quirky hotel but the cleanliness in our room was abysmal. Didn't stay for food as we went down into Matlock Bath which was in walking distance. The staff deserve full praise, they were really nice and attentive.
Very clean and quiet, room quite small for a family room but adequate for an overnight
Was a lovely little room. Clean and cozy.
Down points are that room was too hot with no means to cool it down and no spoons or stirrers to make the drinks.
Would deffo recommend but if your like me and get hot too quick then ask for a room with aircon.
Great stay and great staff, couldn't recommend this site more!! Appreciate that staffs kind, caring and loving nature towards their guest. I'll definitely look at coming back again.
Breakfast could be better
It was nicely secluded and quiet, surprising when next to the children's play area, had a great night's sleep.
Great little place for a night away with kids, basic but comfortable.
The thing we loved was the little courtyard with plenty of tabkes and chairs outside the cabins where you could see your child playing on the play equipment whilst chilling.
Only stayed in the basic cabin and didnt upgrade to the princess rooms but from what we could see, it was a much better set up in these to be able to keep a close watch on you child.
Made it a relaxing stay and would defo use again.
Good sevices, great room
A quaint little room in a good location.
