the room, and facilities were great.
breakfast was dissapointing. The staff ran out of food, and many people were dissapointed and complaining. The turkey sausage was not good at all.
The hotel is in a great location, surrounded by restaurants and shopping.
Very clean, nice staff, great location, nice breakfast with wonderful mountain views
The beds in one roon were too soft, but they changed rooms for us without any problems
I loved the sky bar but wish the prices were a little lower. The balcony was beautiful. The room very clean, even the shower which is rare. I wish the breakfast had better juice options because the apple juice tasted like apple cider and the eggs seemed off but overall I was pleasantly surprised by all the options and sides. I loved the buffet style. Coffee was great. I do tend to choose hotels over whether or not they have a hot tub for my arthritis and I was super bummed that it was down. Hopefully it's working next time. Great customer service though, thank you.
We have stayed at this Hyatt numerous times. The hotel itself is very nice, it is getting a little bit older so some updates may need to be addressed and I get that.
Overall, the staff is extremely friendly, I was a little disappointed this time because normally they recognize that we are Hyatt members and offer us waters, which we didn't get this time but it's not really a big deal. The checkout service was not working and so I had to text the hotel and they took care of our checkout immediately and were very friendly and prompt.
I do have a few complaints about this hotel. My first complaint is the parking, $20 per night for parking in Eugene seems extremely expensive. This is the only hotel/motel we have ever stayed at that charged for parking in Eugene. Which considering they have their own parking garage floors, it just seems a bit exorbitant. It was $18 which I thought was outlandish but now they've raised it another $2 per night. In this economy, when the rooms are as expensive as they are you would think you could maybe not charge the parking fee.
My second complaint is the coffee mugs in the room. After seeing the video of the woman washing her underwear in the coffee pot, it's already questionable to use the in-room coffee pot. Now add ceramic coffee mugs. I get that they are more environmentally friendly and I think that is awesome, however, with the fact that we just had a major pandemic 6 years ago, these are highly unsanitary. Especially when what appears to be crusty mucus that was not completely washed out. The other problem with these mugs is that if dropped, like what happened to us, they crack and then someone has the potential to cut themselves. I think going back to the paper cups is a much better idea, I guess you have to choose the environment or people's health.
Overall, this is a great hotel but I feel like they might be pushing people away with their choices.
Almost everything
The hot tub was broken and we were counting on this as we walked more than our normal daily routine because we were spectators of the Eugene Marathon
Everything was great!
I stayed here for a few days while visiting my son who goes to UofO. The hotel was great. The staff were helpful and friendly. I had a large quiet room. I had my small dog with me and the hotel was very welcoming and even gave me a bag with dog treats, bowl and blanket for him. The breakfast was really good. I got it for free since I am a Hyatt member but it was worth the price if you have to pay. Overall a great stay and a great location.
Good location and clean room, though I had to purchase my own sponge and dish soap to clean the dishes in our suite’s kitchenette. Poor internet and Chromecast wasn’t working. Evening shift folks were a bit standoff-ish, morning/day shift front desk staff were kind and helpful. The guy working the breakfast area was awesome and helpful and friendly.
Superb experience. Clean and updated room, immaculate lobby. Very friendly staff. Bar in hotel with indoor and outdoor seating. AMAZING breakfast - literally the best complimentary hotel breakfast I’ve had in decades of travel. I only wish they had a digital way to leave a tip for housekeeping as I rarely carry cash. Thank you Oakmont Hyatt Place!
It was clean and big and a good location.
It was freezing in the room all night. The heater said it was at 70 but was just blowing cold air!!! I DID NOT GET ANY SLEEP THAT NIGHT. Feel like it’s my worst stay in a hotel ever.
The room itself was clean and comfortable and quiet
The room was soooo hard to get to. The elevator was so inconvenient and the room was down several turns of a hallway
Make sure you ask specifically if that is the total cost when you check in. Also make sure you ask what the parking fee is. The room and food are very good.
Have been coming here a number of years. now it seems like each time we come, something new and negative is operating. Parking fee (not mentioned on website) has increased and formerly did not exist. Breakfast now free for some but others have to pay. No info on website abut who gets free breakfast and who pays. Breakfast options are improved however. front desk staff are friendly but more casual than professional. hot tub not open and has not been available for a few years now it seems. Pool now available apparently. Rooms are nice and parking convenient though expensive now.
The charge for parking
Cleanliness
Hot tub wasn't working
Great hotel with friendly and efficient staff. Located in a shopping center with lots of restaurants and stores. We didn't have to leave the area to eat or buy snacks, which was very convenient for us.
