The hotel was not up to standard. It needs a major revamp. The food was terrible at breakfast. Something as simple as toasted cheese sandwich couldn’t even be made correctly.

Excellent stay for 3 weeks lovely large room & nice staff
Pros:

Breakfast was all you could ask for such varied choices. If a small point where it could be improved by updating the coffee & toaster machine ! Both slow and coffee not hot enough! The staff are so accommodating and gracious.

Cons:

this could be a culture, thing not sure, but us Europeans choose to dress for breakfast and take a leisurely time, but we found it a little unsettling to discover a very large proportion of women & children attend the breakfast room in their pyjamas!!

Nearly a decent 4 (not 5) star hotel but not there yet.
Pros:

Most of the staff were exceptional, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was varied. Location, set back from the busy main road felt calm away from the hustle bustle. Contemporary design, nice outside seating and pool with a pretty good gym too.

Cons:

Lots of little annoying things. Only one dressing gown and slippers. Every day we asked for a second set and often it would be brought to the room, but on every occasion it was taken the very next day by the cleaner?? We asked reception if it could be left, twice, both times they said they’d arrange it, however, it kept being taken.
Pool bar overcharged us with added items we did not have and the pool bar staff argued the toss and brought a manager over, which was embarrassing, before removing items. However, the second bill was also wrong as he had now overcharged us for the drinks we had had. Eventually it was corrected but the bar staff member was clearly put out by this, spent the rest of our stay glaring at us.
On checking in we were also told, first beer each was on the house, on checking out they charged us for them, I questioned this and was told I had chosen the wrong type of beer, in this case we had chosen the cheapest local option instead of Heineken or another type, WTH, perhaps they should have told us the rules first.
A group of young men were spitting in the pool, I pointed this out to the pool manager and he apologised and said he’d speak to the spitting guests but then he didn’t, he made himself scare which is not great.
Finally, only one chair on the balcony, same with all rooms, although there was plenty of room for two.

Comfortable, good location with plenty of good restaurants
Pros:

Good selection of breakfast. We didn't have dinner, but the Christmas Eve party was well organised and good value for money. Our 14‑night stay at Le Méridien Goa was relaxing overall. As we were staying for a longer period, we requested to change rooms three times to find a view that allowed us to properly unwind, and the team accommodated us each time. The only real disappointment was the pool, which was far too cold to use, especially frustrating as swimming was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel. A special mention to Krishon, the Operations Manager, and Yashike at the front door, who were both exceptionally helpful and really contributed to making our stay enjoyable. All the staff at Le Méridien were consistently attentive and welcoming throughout our visit.

Cons:

Needed a better bar with good surroundings so that people can have drinks in the evening and relax before turning in for the night. Also had to change the room 3 times, so it took us a while to settle down,
