Great location, okay service, not worth the money.

- Check-in process. We arrived on a very early morning flight and while we were aware that check-in time was afternoon, the staff at the check-in counter at that hour was very cold, clinical and not empathetic or customer-focused. They kept saying the same thing saying check in is in the afternoon. After a few hours, when another staff member arrived at the counter, she told us we would be able to get our rooms early. Overall, leading to an unpleasant start. Not the kind of service and welcome we expected at an Intercon.

Fabulous location, wonderful stay
Pros:

We booked this hotel because we were offered a great deal - but we would happily return based on our experience. From the outset the team were warm and efficient, finding solutions to any queries we had.
We splurged on a suite with Club Lounge access - which was wonderful for our special occasion - but the location and overall facilities of the hotel would easily draw us back again. Above all else the hospitality team were wonderful.

Best of the Best
Pros:

Stayed at the Intercontinental in March 2026 and we would be happy to recommend the hotel to anyone. The staff were friendly and helpful. The facilities were top quality. A great location in the middle of the city. Breakfast was amazing and serving staff were top quality.

Customer Service Poor
Pros:

We stayed here 2 nights for a special wedding anniversary and spent a lot of money with family dinners in the restaurants and club access room.
Non existent assistance or care given to us while booking and trying to arrange things in advance for our anniversary ,no one wanted to help .
Things promised but not given like valet parking .
We were given the worse room overlooking the roof.
So after complaining we were given a nicer room with a lovely view .
No chocolates or anything for our anniversary even though we are members .
I did mention this later on and a bottle of sparkling wine arrived but only after asking .
The on duty manager on the day was really nice however .
The restaurants are both great we had lovely family dinners there with such lovely staff .
The club lounge is really good too ,all staff really helpful .
Air con did not work in the room either very well but we just put up with it in the end so didn’t have to move rooms .
Overall we had an ok stay but for a special anniversary and the cost of it all it missed the mark .

Top-Notch Service and Club Lounge Experience
Pros:

We had a very enjoyable stay at the InterContinental Perth City Centre. The room was spacious and very comfortable, making it easy to relax after a busy day. The club floor lounge was excellent, and I want to especially highlight James, who was extremely friendly and professional, making the experience even better. Anna G from the Front Desk also provided fantastic support by promptly resolving a car parking issue for us. The housekeeping team did an outstanding job throughout our stay, keeping the room clean, tidy, and fresh every day. Overall, the service, attention to detail, and hospitality made our stay very comfortable and memorable.

We experienced a high standard of stay as expected from the Intercontinental.
Pros:

Room was very comfortable as expected for this standard of hotel. Outdoor bar on level 1 was very pleasant on a warm night. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Cons:

Car park is a short walk away from hotel, but easily managed.

One staff didn’t know what the other had offered us. It was very frustrating, hurtful, and very upsetting they didn’t believe us. But sorted in the end.

A frustrating and impractical hotel room.
Pros:

The staff were excellent.

Cons:

Exposed wardrobe and having to look at an ironing board continously was not nice. The numerous tiny light switches were extremely annoying/frustrating and very difficult to read the tiny labels in poor light. The northern and eastern window shades could not be operated separately. The room was all about an attempt at style with little concern for function.
