Forriz Hotel

I can't say that the hotel is worth the price.
The room smells, the windows don't open so there is no ventilation, wi-fi is slow and useless, and the sheets and towels are dirty.

This is a nice hotel located at center of Yogyakarta, 10 minutes by "bentor" three wheeler motor bikes. Easy to reach eatery and oleh oleh shops cross the street. Used bentor to Bakpia 25 for 25rb rupiah with nice ride to see the city also. Staff was friendly and informative to give recommendations or ways. Food at breakfast time sufficient from salad, tea-coffee, local cuisine and desserts selection. For eggs selection you should order directly to the server, although the service sometimes was too slow to refilling empty or clearing dirty dishes. Room was just fine, not well maintained with an extra cockroach to accompany your stay, we need to asked for towels..and walls and ceiling was spotted... i hope you guys can tidy up and catch up with little minor areas i mentioned... i will definitely be back if i will revisit and expect the improvement.. thanks for all the staffs that provided service with the heart..

It was wonderful experience to stay at Forriz Hotel Yogyakarta... i was booked the double superior room and when i was there i got free upgrade to suite room, im surprized. i loke the hospitality and clean room, everythings great.

I stayed at Forriz for 4 nights in September, and this is a fantastic hotel. Check-in was so quick and easy, the reception staff were brilliant. The room was large, clean with hot showers and lots of free toiletries. The WiFi was fast and no interruptions. The staff on the entrance and foyer were also great. There was also security staff, but the area is convenient and so safe. The hotel is about 1.5km from the train station. A member of staff actually gave me a ride to the station on my day of departure. The staff at reception also arranged grab and gojek rides for me. I didn't eat at the hotel. Thanks to everyone at Forriz for making my stay in Jogya perfect. Highly recommended.

Nice room with comfortable beds. I just wished they had fluffier pillows. The room was cleaned everyday, towels changed, and toiletries and water, replenished. Wifi was okay. Buffet breakfast was Indonesian fare -- rice, noodles, and some meat. No Western food except cereals. A Grab car to Malioboro costs 22k.

We stay for 2 nights. The first day we got free upgrade room because our room was not ready yet. But the second day we moved to our room. The two rooms was great! It is very clean and also the bathroom was amazing. Staffs are friendly. The Location near to malioboro and there is some souvenirs store and gudeg too. Love it! We try the swimming pool too, it is not small neither large, it is just enough. Will come back!

Their location is very strategist and near with malioboro street. They have pool in the hotel and they lobby is nice.

I recommended this hotel if you looking for hotel who not noisy in the town with affordable price.

The staff at the Forriz Hotel are extremely friendly and eager to make your stay a good one. Everyone from the front desk staff to housekeeping and restaurant staff always greeted us with the warmest smiles and had every good intention to make sure we were cared for. Unfortunately, the wonderful staff was not enough to make up for the average experience we had at Forriz Hotel.

Reviews we read said the hotel was near the city center, but there was very limited things we could walk to and ended up taking a taxi for everything from a money changer to restaurant. And most of the taxis had difficulty even finding the hotel!

The pool is nice, but small and it took about 20 minutes for us to get pool towels brought to us. We did attempt to have breakfast once at the hotel but there was a strong language barrier and we ended up getting billed for both the buffet and individual breakfast entrees. I notified the front desk that we were leaving at 4am the following day and asked if we could settle the bill then. They said the front desk would be staffed 24 hours and we could close our bill upon our departure. We had to wake up the clerk at the desk and our final bill still was not ready. I received an email a couple days after we left asking to transfer funds to their account (I'm still working on getting this settled).

We stayed at Forriz during Ramadan and were not prepared for the amplified prayers at 2:30am and 4:30am. It sounded like the speakers were outside of our room as the hotel does not appear to have sound proofed the windows at all.

Our stay was for 4 nights. We changed rooms 3 times. The first time was our fault, as we thought we had requested a room with a safe. We were told the only room available with a safe was an upgraded room, so we paid an additional $40 USD for the new room. The next night there was a "maintenance issue" and we were asked by the hotel to move to another room. While it was another upgrade at no charge, it was not fun to move rooms again.

The biggest challenge with the Forriz Hotel is that the showers have the shower head mounted on the wall facing out to the toilet/door. While the shower head is removable (meaning you can hold it in your hand) they do not have shower rods, curtains or anything to keep the water from splashing onto the bathroom floor. This was in all 3 of the rooms we stayed in so I have to assume it's a feature in the entire hotel. When we asked the staff how they recommended we take a shower without getting water all over the floor, they said they are aware its an issue and are considering getting rods mounted in the showers. Still not a great long-term solution and certainly not one that was planned to be resolved during our stay.

I really wanted to love it here because the staff was so sweet, but too many things went awry during our stay for me to recommend it.

Hotel service is good. Helpful and warm. A little bit crowded when check in but it’s ok. The room is small but clean. Swimming pool available for kids and adult. Breakfast is so so, but good enough. I was borrow the flat iron from housekeeping at the first day stay but they didn’t come yet until i call for the second time in day 2 and finally they give it to me. But no problem. Overall i’m enjoy staycation in forriz

Near from rail station and malioboro, the room is very cozy and comfortable, all the facilities are good, i choose deluxe room and the price is very affordable (almost cheap), superb worth it to stay.

Recently visit with my family, room is decent and clean due the hotel is new, didn't try the breakfast. Pool is small and the parking area is limited but the parking staff is helpful. The price is affordable.

This hotel is quite new, has been running for 4 months.The room is large enough. The staff is helpful. One disadvantage is breakfast menu, which is very so so for four star hotel. Hopefully next time will be better.

This hotel is very comfortable, and close to the city centre. Very makes it easy for tourists to explore the city of Yogyakarta. The hotel is also close to malioboro, tamansari water castle, and other shopping centers. Near the hotel there are many culinary delicious dangat and the price is very cheap.

I went to this hotel during my short trip in Yogyakarta. When I came at 1:30am, the staff welcomed me with his very warm smile. I asked for help some certain things and surprisingly everything was handled well. The food was ok. So far, I am greatful for their memorable hospitality and kind assistance during my stay.

Very friendly staff and very nice rooms. Also great food to a reasonable price! Nice svimming pool. The staff is very helpful and professional. I absolutely recommend that you stay here. Not to far from Malioboro street either.

- No book information about hotels, toilet need review, and coridor room is very dark (lighting is very poor)

We stayed at 2 rooms for 2 nights during Eid holiday.

It was just opened for public for 5 days by the time we checked in.

My opinion:
They have friendly staffs that is very important for kinda new hotel. Their room ofcourse still clean. Room size is quite small but ok for those price.
Breakfast is very good...many times breakfast are tasteless in these kind of hotels but at forriz they take a good care on the food quality (in taste, variety and service).

As long as they could manage the cleanliness and service quality...sure i'll be back for the next short trip.
