smell
A very cost effective stay, with everything you could need. With very friendly staff. 👍🤠
Strong smell of city streets possibly due to location of room+weather. Could have kept window closed but I sleep better in a cool room.
The location was the only thing good about it.
Everything, the mattress was horrible, the carpets were stained, everything was on the verge to fall apart. I do not recommend that place.
Not very nice. But arthroom was dirty
Hotel was dirty.
I checked in , room was on the ground floor, dirty, marks in the walls, broken chest of drawers. I did not feel safe and put off with the dirt on the wall. I asked to change room , the staff was understanding and nice about it.
The other room , the hot tap was wobbly, you could not get the curtain to shut properly in the bathroom , so no intimacy: the window is overlooking on the main road with a pub opposite.
I appreciate it was only £31 but did not except such a low standard, very very old carpet, gloomy,.
The receptionist was very nice and friendly when I checked in.
The gentleman who helped me change room was very understanding.
The hotel needs a BIG refurbishment and BIG clean.
Carpets , walls , towels are off bad quality, shower plugs open...
convenience
I don't expect much for £31 a night. Just clean and safe. I only used the hotel because it was close to an old friend I was visiting. I arrived back to my room at 1am after an evening out to find a strange man asleep in my room on MY BED!! They had a key for the room. They had made themselves a cup of tea, using the only cup in the room.
They did quickly leave the room, and being tired and late, with an early start I just went to sleep. The staff seemed indiffrerent when I mentioned this the next morning.
Beds were comfy receptionist was lovely
Bed sheets were dirty the carpets were dirty and holey the room i was in one wall was just panels of ply board was the hotel in general just seems old and dirty seems more like a hostel than a hotel seemed to be a lot of what seemed to be homeless people using the rooms to drink in and sleep in
