Hotel is fabulous. I loved it, my parents visiting the UK loved it. The room, breakfast and the staff.

I would argue, just one thing, is the distance from the City Centre.

Sometimes it could take 5-10 mins waiting for a waitress/waiter/barman/bar woman to acknowledge you’re stood there when waiting to be checked in for breakfast, but no complaints otherwise

Mooi hotel op een goede locatie.
Pros:

Mooi hotel in de buurt van een sportcampus. Hierdoor goed bereikbaar, maar niet te druk. Ontbijt buffet was ook erg goed.

Lovely hotel - just one flaw….
Pros:

Lovely hotel set in the scenic grounds of Herriot Watt university with plenty of parking spaces. Nice and peaceful as well away from the city but with excellent transport links (bus stop outside of the hotel with buses to and from Edinburgh centre every 15 minutes). Staff were friendly, attentive and keen to help. Food was delicious and very reasonably priced, with a good selection at breakfast time. Rooms were stylish and very clean. Beds were comfortable, bathroom was modern and the air con was very effective.
Why then didn’t I rate it 5 out of 5? Two words… bathroom door!!! I’m not sure who thought that frosted glass, with a 2cm gap, would be a good idea for a door to a room where privacy is essential. To make matters worse, the location of the mirror in the bedroom made it possible to see into the bathroom (I was in a twin room with a friend and made a point of sitting at the far end of the room, by the window, to afford her more privacy). As for using the loo for more than a pee… that just wasn’t going to happen! I noticed that the loos in the hotel foyer were very popular though…
This hotel would easily score 5/5 if the bathroom doors were changed…. I hope the management bear that in mind if they’re planning a refurb.

Personal war sehr nett, insbesonders die junge Dame von der Rezeption mit ihre freundliche und nette Art und ein bezauberndes Lächeln im Gesicht!

Der Teppich im Zimmer war voll mit rote Flecken! Fleck von Rotwein, Fruchtsaft oder ähnliches! Das war nicht schön zu sehen....wir haben nur eine Nacht dort verbracht, sonst hätten wir Zimmertausch verlangt!

Pros:

We had a comfortable stay at the hotel and there was a lot of parking available. It is away from town but there is a bus stop a couple of minutes walk away with a bus about every 20 min. We had delicious fish and chips of a generous portion.

Cons:

Other items on the dinner menu were pricey for the quality. It seemed to me that they could have been pre-pared meals, from a bulk supplier, warmed up in the kitchen at restaurant prices. That made it feel like I couldn't give a good score on value for money.
