Typical Chinese mansion
Pros:

Very beautiful typical Chinese mansion. We felt brought back in time. Helen, the host, was super kind to help us with the tickets, the transfer to and from the hotel. Everything was perfect. We highly recommend this hotel!!!

A charming historic residence with impeccable details and outstanding staff, highly recommended.
Pros:

The building is part of a prestigious historic residence. We had the opportunity to enjoy an authentic experience in a traditional home, cared for in every detail. The staff who welcomed us were exceptionally attentive throughout our stay, assisting us with great kindness and availability in every request or need. It is rare to find a team so thoughtful and courteous.

Beautiful hotel in a beautiful place.
Pros:

A lovely boutique hotel in a beautiful old building. Comfortable, warm and clean. A gem! I had such a lovely stay. Helen, Fanny and manager Alice are so helpful and friendly. Alice speaks excellent English. Perfectly located for the beautiful old city of Pingyao.

Cons:

Nothing, it was perfect.

Pros:

The rooms were very comfy and clean, and the staff were very helpful. Hellen explained the map of the ancient city to us, as well as where to go for lunch and dinner. The hotel offers some tours that we did without problems and at a good price.
They offer a pickup from the station and back to the station also the driver was very good.
If we come back to Pingyao we will stay at the same hotel.

A Welcome Experience
Pros:

This stay was, as we knew it would be, a unique experience. This hotel is special, keeping its nature antique and befitting its very old, traditional architecture. We loved being able to stay in such a place, but still have key facilities such as reverse cycle air conditioning and a good bathroom.
The staff were helpful and dedicated to running the hotel smoothly for visitors.
We appreciated the help we receptor staff in booking drivers for transfers and a day trip to Mianshan Scenic Area.
The hotel is a short walk to a major gateway and to shopping streets.

Cons:

An improvement in hotel arrangements could include having a better dining room for guests.
We chose a 'family room' to give us space on a single bed for our open cases. It was a good decision.
Some more decoration ( in keeping with the antique nature of the hotel ) could improve the 'warmth' of rooms.

Pros:

The building itself is absolutely stunning — an authentic 200-year-old residence that truly makes you feel like you’ve stepped back in time. The location is excellent as well, with all the main highlights of Pingyao just a pleasant 15–20 minute walk away.

The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful, always happy to chat, offer great suggestions, or help organise activities. They even reached out proactively to arrange our transfers to and from the train station, which made everything so easy.

A wonderful stay overall — highly recommended for anyone visiting Pingyao!

Alice (menadżerka) zrobiła dla nas na miejscu (grupa 3 osoby) kurs pieczenia mooncake dziękujemy :)
Pros:

Wspaniały zabytkowy budynek z niepowtarzalnym klimatem. Rezydencja bankiera lokalnego banku z XIX w. Hotel prowadzi super sympatyczna i pomocna menadżerka (Alice) wraz ze swoją rodziną, do tego wszyscy mówią po angielsku. (w Chinach to rzadkość). Bardzo dobra kawa z porządnego ekspresu. W hotelu mieszka też kot -ciekawski i bardzo miły.

Nie ma się do czego przyczepić.
