Location
Staff were good and sympathetic.
Newly refurbished rooms but....
Blocked shower waste,
Broken toilet,
Drilling in adjacent room,
Only 1 bath towel
Insufficient tea biscuits
No WiFi for 24 hrs
Moved room, much better but one bedside light didn't work.
Reception did not answer telephone, but emails were actioned almost immediately!
Breakfast good one day, poor the next. (10 mins for first coffee).
Beautiful property and grounds, currently undergoing renovation work so not all areas open
Building works which started at 8am, however we had been advised of this
All excellent.
From the minute we arrived at reception the service was exceptional, we were shown around the hotel and then shown across to our room which was in a separate building. Nothing was a problem for the staff and all very polite whether passing in the corridor or serving in the restaurant. You honestly wouldn't know there was renovation working taking place at the hotel apart from entering through a different door which was sent on instructions before arrival. We were staying at the hotel to travel to Wimbledon, train service was faultless and only a 15 minute walk from the hotel up a busting high street with great shops. Great stay, thank you so much.
Location great (this was my 10th ish time staying) liked the ordering of breakfast rather than buffet...assume it helps with food waste although menu options a little limited currently, which is my biggest gripe as the ongoing refurbishments limit the normally excellent facilities and services offered.
Having only the Dunbar Lounge is a significant limiting factor at the hotel currently (in terms of the food and beverage offer) which is a shame as the offer is normally so much better than this. I was expecting the refurbishment works to be completed by the time of our recent visit but unfortunately this was not the case and hence why for me my overall ratings have dropped. Such a shame as it is normally our go to hotel for when we visit the area. For us it just felt that the operation of just one area for members and guests is a limiting factor in terms of the overall experience and service being provided. There appeared to be a slightly different level of staff attentiveness during the evening compared to the day (evening not as good as day time) again a shame as normally it is such a positive experience at the hotel.
Location is excellent. Sports facilities are exceptional. Room comfortable if a little on the ‘compact’ size.
Enjoyed using the pool & spa. Plus the riverside walk is pleasant.
Didn’t like glass door to bathroom. Looks like it was a replacement for a proper door - for a twin room it didn’t offer enough privacy.
Hospitality tray was a bit sparse. One pack of biscuits!!! Tea bags did not taste great & some of the sachets of sugar were solid- how old were they?
Skirting board badly scuffed in places.
Drainage in shower was very slow & shower door leaked
The location was perfect for us for an overnight stay to have a day at Wimbledon. All of the staff were great, polite and professional with the 2 chaps on the reception especially helping us with a taxi to the train station and another when we got back late showing us to our room as it was one that had just been renovated so was ensuring all was ok. We were just disappointed we couldn't stay longer and enjoy some of the facilities.
We sadly were forgotten about at breakfast and our cooked food took quite a long time. It wasn't even that much of a deal, it's the only negative really. Maybe an extra pillow in the wardrobe.
amazing location by the Thames with great facilities and lovely staff. views and grounds are perfect with brilliant sports facilities
It is a members club as well as a hotel and I didn’t like how some of the members spoke to the staff. very rude and aggressive in cases. One woman at the leisure club was awful to the poor young boys on the desk. She wasn’t happy but should have spoken to managers and not publicly speak to the staff. A few other members spoke out about her behaviour too
It was a suitable location for my needs and staff were most accommodating even contacting the day before to apologise for problem with the air conditioning and offering an alternative solution
Very kind considerate and professional
The hotel is undergoing significant refurbishment which guests are made aware of before booking on the website
The staff do all that they can to mitigate against this issue
Would benefit from clearer signage for taxis to arrive at the conference reception area ….and not the main entrance ….
Beautiful location and grounds.
Visited whilst under redecoration, so had to use the conference entrance. Can see it will be fantastic when it is done. Our room was a little tired looking, but functional. Air conditioning was great!
As usual, clean and comfortable
The air conditioning remote was missing. Staff did come up and say if we needed it to be adjusted I could just call down ,however he had loaned a remote control from another room ,when we did need it adjusting it was not really convenient for him to enter the room.
Location
Is in the middle of a re-vamp but still charged premium prices
Temiz, konumu güzel, sportifler için ideal ve yemekleri hoş bir otel
Tv leri çok küçük
The Hotel is amazing (despite some refurbishment on-going). Grounds are excellent, gym is great. Staff at reception very welcoming and efficient. We were upgraded and allowed to check in early (this was in the knowledge the air con wasn't working in the room, but we had fans and more space). Great pub The Angler next door, and easy walk / bus route into Twickenham.
No lead to use the coffee machine.
Would have loved to have stayed longer.
