Beautiful hotel, beautiful location
Pros:

The rooms were a nice size. The hotel was modern and was really lovely! Check in was done in a matter of seconds!

Cons:

No body wash/shampoo in the dispensers in the rooms, one dirty or stained hand towel. The sofa beds/seating area in the room was quite stained. Didn’t have time to raise this with the reception as I was in a rush, although I’m sure this would have been rectified.

It was ok. The beds were nice and I slept well

The room. The beds. The bathroom. The lobby and available seating. The free cookie from reception desk. Sauna.

Cons:

A horrible smell coming from our fridge cupboard. Cheesy smell. Not enough teabags, milk!! Lobby snacks cost way too much. Tv not available for streaming. This was the most disappointing about the room.
But most disappointing overall for this hotel is the “spa”. It should not be called a spa at all. The entire pool area felt outdated and cheap. And the water didn’t look or feel clean.

Ok But….
Pros:

Nice hotel with a good location. Rooms of good quality, fully fitted with ironing board, hairdryer safe, and everything else to be expected. Unfortunately, on night too my room had not been cleaned so I came home to an unmade bed. I did report this and they said the sign was left on the door not to disturb. This was not the case. I had removed the sign before leaving that morning. So I’d suggested a complimentary breakfast in view of this situation. There was not really any other explanation offered as to why the room was not cleaned, which I am sure it was a one off . This morning when I paid my final bill, I was expecting some gratuity, however nothing was offered. So for this reason, I will not be going back.

7 hotel southend recommended
Pros:

Nothing too much trouble for staff. Food in the restaurant and bar was delicious and beautifully presented. Rooms were clean and comfortable.

Pros:

Room was large and beautifully decorated. Seating area by window overlooking sea was well designed. Bar is small but bar staff knowledgeable and friendly.

Cons:

One of the blinds was broken and the soap dispenser in the bathroom was empty.

Pros:

The location is good and convenient for the town and the Cliffs Pavilion.

Cons:

The room overlooked the backyard behind the kitchen and there was an industrial walk in fridge outside which made a buzzing noise constantly. When I raised this with the hotel staff I was told that the noise was the kitchen extractor fan and it would stop at around 10pm when the kitchen closed, but the noise did not stop. Luckily I had some good earplugs with me....
