The hotel room was neat. I appreciate the cleanliness.
I booked a sea view and at arrival while checking in, I saw them change my room on the print out. The receptionist stylishly cancelled my room number which was on the 3rd floor to the 1st floor. I asked him immediately why he did that and he kept trying to deflect saying they upgraded me and my fiancée. We didn’t ask for no upgrade and asked that our room be returned to the initial room a they refused. The manager saw everything and tried to avoid coming to sort the whole issue. We were forced to take the room which was a car park view. We also didn’t get any compensation at all. It was the worst birthday holiday experience for my fiancée. It seemed like one staff was the one controlling both the reception and bar too.

Just some general maintaince issues
The location of the hotel is great with an amazing view of the pier.
The property seems to have an identity crisis. Is its priority hotel guests and their experience, attracting restaurant visitors, or serving passing trade on the outdoor terraces? As a paying hotel guest, I would expect the guest experience to come first, but that did not seem to be the case.
The hotel was busy when we arrived, but first impressions were disappointing. Just outside the lobby entrance there was an overflowing bin and food debris around the furniture and waste area. The reception space felt small and cramped, situated directly next to the bar, and the smell of alcohol was unpleasant. The lift was dirty, and the ladies' toilets were in a poor state. Sadly, this lack of cleanliness appeared throughout the property.
The staff were pleasant enough, but there seemed to be little attention paid to housekeeping. Mess and dirt accumulated in public areas, giving the impression that cleanliness was not a priority. The hotel felt poorly managed, with no obvious sense of ownership or pride in the guest experience.
On our final morning, we had breakfast on the terrace. Once again, the area was dirty from the previous day, and our table needed a thorough wipe before we could sit down. The food itself was acceptable, but the toilets were still in an unacceptable condition. As a hotel guest, I expect to come downstairs to a clean, welcoming environment in the morning. It's not enough for cleaning to start later in the day; public areas should be clean before guests arrive for breakfast and maintained throughout the day.
The bedroom reflected much the same standard. At first glance it appeared acceptable, but closer inspection revealed a lack of attention to detail and cleanliness. The bathroom was dysfunctional and more of a wet room and this negatively impacted our stay.
Cleanliness, presentation, and attention to detail matter, and they influence whether people choose to return.

no bread nets worn the bread is hard chicken wings don’t come off the bone very chewy
Extrem freundliches Personal, waren alle sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit! Das Zimmer war toll, hatten Meerblick. Wirklich liebevoll und schön eingerichtet. Haben wundervoll geschlafen, da es auch ruhig, aber dennoch zentral gelegen war. Gerne wieder!

Bathroom shower had a drainage issue with the floor under the sink and toilet constantly being wet.
The curtains for the bay window rooms are not flush with the wall, and given the position of the bed a beam of early morning sunlight lands right on your face/tip of the bed first thing. Not ideal

El personal, muy atento, aunque nadie habla español. Las habitaciones que tienen vistas al mar son una delicia. Cada día proporcionan agua a los huéspedes, lo cual resulta muy útil. Y la ubicación es inmejorable.
El desayuno: los “paquetes” de desayuno (English Breakfast, Vegan English Breakfast, etc.) no son para todos los públicos, y la selección individual de productos (para “fabricar” un desayuno continental) resulta cara (entre 20 y 30 libras).
Un desayuno buffet, quizá incluido en el precio de la habitación, solucionaría este problema.
