Pros:

Amazing view, cool experience; location not ideal
Pros:

The view was amazing, and we stayed in the traditional Japanese room which was a very cool experience. Probably one of the best nights sleep we've had in Japan!

Cons:

The location is out of the way for most of the tourist track. The hotel is also slightly isolated with not much to do around it. Also little flexibility in food (only a Japanese set menu is available) and the bar only opened at 9pm

exceptional overall (but views are from the men's onsen)
Pros:

the view from the bedroom was exceptional

Cons:

the women's onsen is away from the cliff which was a bit disappointing. the incredible views you see pictured are from the men's onsen. Also quite a few stink bugs outside in the evening.

Has outdoor onsen facing Suruga Bay. Room facing Suruga Bay

Cons:

Very rigid with the meals….not able to entertain special requests eg no meat request
