Die Dusche ist eine Fehlkonstruktion - es tritt das Wasser ins Zimmer aus.
Café da manhã excelente
Ar condicionado não funcionava a contento
Convenient to the main are of Lagos. Rooms are clean, nicely appointed and soundproof. Breakfast was extensive.
Great location, beautiful facilities, yummy breakfast
Nothing
Location, close to the main area. Good location to boat trips and resturants. Choice of beaches both 10 minute walks away.
Some of the famous beaches were a longer walk up a hill but to be honest they were very busy so I preferred the beaches closer to the hotel.
This hotel is in a prime location for the train, boat tours, walking about, and entertainment. The rooms are lovely and spacious. The rooftop pool was warm after a day on the boardwalk and the breakfast downstairs had some tasty options. The best part was the staff. They are welcoming and friendly. The front desk gave us some recommendations for places to eat and each one was a hit! Definitely would stay here again next visit.
Maravilloso
The hotel is in a perfect location within walking distance of the town where there are plenty of nice shops, restaurants and bars. It is very quiet and has beautiful views.
The staff are very friendly and efficient. The breakfast is fantastic and the waiting staff cannot do enough for you.
There is just one thing that I didn’t like and that is the situation of the toilet and shower in the bedroom. The toilet and shower have privacy glass walls but there is just a curtain to separate this area from the bed and personally I don’t think it gives enough privacy. We booked one of the best rooms, a superior double with a marina view but I think all the rooms are laid out in the same way.
I had a really lovely stay at Avenida Lagos Hotel and would happily recommend it to anyone visiting the area. The hotel is very clean and well-maintained, which made it feel comfortable and relaxing from the moment I arrived. The rooms are spacious, bright, and thoughtfully set up, giving plenty of room to unwind after a day out.
One of the highlights of my stay was the staff , they were incredibly helpful, welcoming, and always ready to assist with a smile. It really made a difference and added a personal touch to the experience.
The breakfast was also very good, with a nice variety of options to start the day right. On top of that, the location is excellent, convenient for exploring Lagos and getting to nearby attractions.
Overall, a great place to stay with a warm atmosphere and I’d definitely come back again.
WOW. What an amazing hotel, from the location to the friendly staff and incredible breakfast.
Our room was at the back of the hotel and overlooked the roof of the farmers market (held only on Saturdays - well worth a visit - amazing fresh fruit and produce and flowers, nuts, honey, olives, etc). I wouldn't say it was a picturesque outlook but I would recommend it as it caught the afternoon and evening sunshine. As we visited in March and the weather was high teens and low 20's it was an amazing sun trap away from the wind. Bedroom is spacious, beds are exceptionally comfortable and pillows soft and enveloping. Hot showers, good lighting and fridge, hairdryer, kettle, air con, bath robes, slippers, all on offer. Take note, no hair conditioner in the shower. It was a lovely clean room and well soundproofed from the neighbouring rooms. The pool was heated during our stay but it was very windy up on the roof (but a lovely addition) so we relaxed back to our balcony.
I agree with another reviewer here that I am glad I didn't pay more for the upgraded marina view rooms as there is a road in between the marina and the hotel. The afternoon/evening sun was a better option for us for our stay.
Food - we only ate breakfast - BUT we made it last 2 hours every day!!! Rose prosecco on offer, along with juices, yoghurts, all breads, rolls, cheeses, hams, parma ham, pasteis de nata, caramel muffins, pastries, fried breakfast, omelettes, eggs, prawns. You can even ask for a steak and lamb chops (which we didn't). There is so much choice and the food is of such quality that I would highly recommend booking with the breakfast option.
Location: just about a 12-15 minute walk to the old town and it's beautiful cobbled streets. We found a salsa dancing class going on in a pub and thoroughly enjoyed being swept around!
Other food recommendations include Pepperino's and Meu Limao for the mussels and different choices of sauce options. We also took a train ride to Portimao (cost of 2 euros 50 each way) which was a nice visit and we ordered a lovely coffee and cake from A Casa Da Isabel. We had 3 coffee's and 2 cakes for just over 10 euro's - but the meringue cake looked to be the best seller! Great cakes and coffee.
Best aspect of this hotel was the breakfast by far. Great service and exceptional food, with lots of options even for someone with a gluten allergy.
The front desk service was lacking, they were quite rude at times. We asked about turning the AC on because the rooms were so warm we were all sweating and unable to sleep, and they were quite rude in telling us that it wasn’t possible because the whole hotel was on heat mode. Why have individual units in the room if we can’t use them? I appreciate the eco friendliness, I just wouldn’t have booked this place had I had known. Also being the off season, the pool area was basically closed though appreciated the heated pool. We thought it was a let down for the price.
Location was excellent. Breakfast very good.
