FIrst: the people managing the place have been very nice, however communication is pretty limited )poor English)
Anyone needing a place in this area needs to know that this property is (rather) as dormitory and not a hotel.
- fridge, microwave, but no water kettle.
- 2water bottles shampoo, toilet paper etc delivered in plastic bag on the outside of the door daily
- no cleaning or towel service during our week
- the mattress as hard as a futon
- nice duvet with duvet cover pillows
- in general clean spacious space
- property itself is pretty run down
- it is located in back alley off a main street, most cabs or grab drivers don't find it cancel on you
- we didn't have warm water for a number of days, then learned the issue is a fuse that keeps tripping
- wifi not reliable during our stay
- no breakfast in short walking distance
- while on the map it appears to be walking distance to Mahidol university it is not as you have to walk across an overpass to cross a 8 lane road, plus heat maps it prohibitive to walk
So: for anyone needing to stay near Mahidol university we learned that this is still the best and cleanest option as any other options seem worse.
We expected an actual hotel which contributed to the disappointment. Had we known what I am sharing here we either would not have felt as disappointed or would have chosen a better/pricier place knowing we'd have to take a cab each time we needed to get to campus anyway
