Vila Kalcuni

Very nice hotel and very friendly and helpful staff😊 The hotel has its own beach. Lots of good restaurants in the neighbourhood.

We had a week at this hotel, it was very clean . Clean towels every day, which was great .
There was a hairdryer, aircon and toiletries in the room .Breakfast was OK, although I bought cornflakes and took them down along with my yorkshire tea bag .But there were cereals, boiled eggs,fruit ,coffee and pastries and cakes which were lovely. The pool area was so clean and the pool was very nice. We walked out of gates and onto the beach where you have free sunbeds that are comfortable . The staff at hotel were very nice .
There is either steps or a little hill to get out onto road at top ,so comfy shoes essential. You have a little walk to main area which is also good to go for drinks and food . I would definitely go back .

The women in the reception Yona lie us about the room, we are very disappointed. That twin bad are stuck on the wall and cannot move tham , she told us to extra more money on couple bad. 30 Euro each night. And i realised that and told her she didn't apologise and offer someting else.

We spent 12 nights at the beautiful Vila Kacuni with my wife, staying in the top-floor suite (the most expensive room). 
The room is spacious, very nicely furnished, and always clean. We did step into other rooms as well, and they are equally very nice and clean. The housekeeping ladies do not speak English, but they are always very kind and keep the entire hotel and rooms in immaculate condition. The courtyard pool is a great experience, with a children’s pool right next to it. Both pools have fun features, although they are turned off most of the time. When they are on, they work well and are enjoyable. When you ask for it, the staff turns them on.
If you get a room with seaview, you won't be disappointed. You see the entire bay and also the sea. The sound insulation is sufficient, which is important, because in every hour a ferry goes towards the Greek islands very nearby to the hotel. There are party venues near, playing loud music at evenings, but again, your room stays quite silent despite of this.

The location is excellent, situated directly next to the beachfront. The beach is not for the exclusive use of hotel guests, but it is free for them to access and use the sun-beds.

There are several restaurants and grocery stores at the very close proximity, so the guests can access any of these in minutes, just by walking. 
Parking in the courtyard is safe, although sometimes it's crowded and hard to navigate in and out with your vehicle.

Breakfast is sufficient, although rather constant—and frankly, the breakfast experience does not live up to the otherwise high standards of the hotel. There could be soft, relaxing background music, more variations in food. They open at 8, what was proven to be late for many of us, who wanted to catch the ferry to Corfu, leave for excursions, etc.

A few words about the staff: 
the lady manager (who also own the venue) speaks English well enough, and is very kind and helpful, doing everything she can within her means to please the guests. 
The same goes for the young lady at the front desk during the daytime—she is also very friendly. 
The young girl working at the poolside bar is also very kind, serves drinks, and keeps the bar in order - with a kind smile on her face always.
The young man supervising the pool and parking does his job, though he doesn’t communicate much—likely due to a lack of language skills—but he is happy to help if approached with a request.
The man working the evening and night shifts, however, would be better suited for a different kind of job—not one involving people. It is clear he does not like people; in fact, he seems bothered by the presence of guests. We have had smaller requests, and he said no – each and every time. Then, the next day, the other staff gladly helped with all of those. He complains about everything, grumbles as he walks away, and shakes his head - causing very unpleasant feelings for the guests. During our 12 days here, I had the possibility to observe it many times with other guests, as as well as we experienced it “on our own skin”.

All in all, this is a great hotel for a family vacation, but also suitable for couples or solo travelers looking to relax. There are things that could be improved, but nothing is seriously wrong.
So, although I signaled things could be improved, I still give the maximum points.

Iona at the front desk was incredibly helpful - especially when a personal issue had us extending our stay for an extra night. STRONGLY recommend this lovely hotel!

En general una muy bueba estadía, el hotel cuenta con pocos servicios pero compensan esa falta con una muy buena atención. La havitación que nos diron era muy chica por el costo que pagamos. La ubicación es excelente.

Everything was amazing apart from the breakfast which left a lot to be desired. Not much choice and much of the pastries and bread were stale. The fruit was over ripe

Nice rooms. Beach was right there. Friendly people and great scenery. Beautiful pool also with a coffee bar. We loved it! . Close to everything and affordable. The ladies at the desk were very helpful. Breakfast was great. Would do it again.

Just returned from an amazing break at Vila Kalcuni. This is a beautiful hotel, located in a lovely part of town, only a few minutes walk from the ferry terminal, bars, restaurants and shops.
It’s positioned on a private beach with stunning views of the bay.
Vila Kalcuni is a real retreat set in lovely surroundings. The pool and bar area is very new and is immaculate. In fact the entire hotel is spotless and extremely well maintained. Probably one of the cleanest hotels I’ve ever stayed at !
The room was very comfortable with amazing views from the balcony.
Breakfast was very good, fresh and plentiful and is served in a lovely restaurant.
The manager and staff team are so friendly and welcoming, they work tirelessly and want to ensure that your stay is going well.
Would fully recommend staying here and can’t wait to return.

Not what I'd expect from a 4* hotel, but OK.

The only issue was the receptionist. The only way to reach her was via email. Somehow, she made things that should be simple (finding the bus, ordered a taxi) more complicated than they should be. She was by turns unhelpful and unresponsive.

Not a terrible stay, but I also would not go back there.

The hotel itself was lovely, super clean and modern and also in a good location, close to the port and on a beach. We only stayed 1 night but we enjoyed our stay overall and would come back. Breakfast was served to us rather than a buffet which we didn’t like as for me there wasn’t a lot I could eat but the staff were all friendly and the breakfast space was pretty. The hotel was quiet so we did have to wait a while for someone to show up at reception to check in etc but this didn’t bother us too much!

My wife and I had a lovely time at the Villa. The property is beautiful - it faces the sea directly. Our room came with a spacious balcony and in suite bath and jacuzzi as well. The staff at the property took great care of us and accommodated my dietary preferences as well. They recommended some great restaurants to visit as well as connected us to a very reasonable tours and travels company for tours to Ksamil and Blue Eye. Cannot recommend this villa enough if you are looking for a tranquil romantic getaway within Sarande. Will visit again!

Lovely small hotel with a stunning view from the balcony. Hotel was super clean and the staff was friendly. Nice clean pool area and only few steps to the beach. Breakfast was okay but quite a minimum of choices for a 4 star hotel. Location is close to the centre and cruise terminal. Definately would come back.

We enjoyed our stay at Villa Kalcuni in Saranda. The hotel is in a great location, just steps from the beach and a short walk to stores and restaurants. It was convenient for exploring the area and is also quite close to the ferry terminal for Corfu. The staff were great and very helpful, making our stay even more pleasant. A great option for a beach getaway!

Nice hotel, get a room facing the sea. Breakfast was only ok. Pool area is nice but not heated. We had one day of no hot water. Great location, pebbling beach with free loungers. I would stay again.

La vista es hermosa.

El desayuno es buffet y me encantó .
El personal sonriente , mientras esperaba que me dieran el equipaje que me hicieron favor de guardar , escuché como apoyaban a conseguir a un médico para alguien que necesitaba un antibiótico .
En la noche trabajé en el área de la piscina y la señora Kalcubi en persona llegó a preguntarme si todo está. Bien para que yo trabajara satisfactoriamente en línea .

Property was extremely modern and absolutely spotless. No tea or coffee in room. Bring your own beach towels. Breakfast could have been better. Stoney beach - beach shoes a must.
