Small but perfectly adequate room. Very comfortable large bathroom. Nice view over downtown.
Couldn't get WIFI connection
expensive parking
well located, cozy room, comfortable bed
windows just above the elevated subway (People mover), it gets pretty noisy at night.
curtains weren't blackout and not covering the full window allowing quite a lot of light in the room.
Located in the very center of the downtown in a historical, beautifully renovated building. Staff is extremely kind and helpful. The room was comfortable, even though not big at all.
I guess if I were to stay longer, storing my luggage could become an issue due to the size of the room.
Location, location, location and the Candy Bar
Small room
So charming & chic!!
Cool atmosphere. Historic building.
My biggest complaint is the temperature. They have fixed temperature thermostats that after speaking with the front desk, management, and the engineering head, they decided it was an adequate temperature, and they couldn't turn it up. It was 10 degrees or less that day. This hotel is old and has insulation problems. I was sleeping in a freezing cold room, fully clothed. The heat left the room IMMEDIATELY after coming out of the vent. The accommodations they were able to give me were a space heater.... and no discount. That space heater did nothing, even right next to me. I've stayed at a lot of hotels and never in my life have I been given a space heater. $200 a night. NOT WORTH IT.
The bartenders at the candy bar were the best!
Second time staying at the Siren hotel. We come here as a staycation to be downtown for an evening . Highly recommend this property !
The hotel has its charm. It’s a boutique hotel. The staff are really helpful and the rooms and fl facilities are clean and spotless.
Amenities and room furnishings are very basic. Some room don’t offer wardrobe , and if it does it’s super tiny. No water bottles or coffee / tea available in the room. You have to purchase it. It will be nice to have this included. Our room was in the corner , it was very drafty and cold. I booked 2 other rooms they have no such issues. Probably because it was facing other way.
Location was excellent. Close walking distance to literally everything. Staff was great, place was very cool and unique. However, heard constant banging nose all night long, people coming and going all night. Could hear every little thing. Was very noisy and not quiet. Other than that it was good
We stay here every time we visit Detroit. The rooms are all so unique and hip. The location to walkable places downtown is great. And the candy Bar & wine bar located inside the hotel are a huge plus. Great stay every time.
The Siren is a fabulous location. I loved the ambience of the lobby when I visited The Candy Bar as a
Detroit resident and always wanted to stay there. The location is incredible. So close to Vertical, an excellent restaurant, the Metropole, a fabulous rooftop bar, Sid Gold's Karaoke Bar (so fun). Walking distance from other Detroit venues and the People Mover. The staff is very friendly and knowledgable.
Rooms are very well maintained. Great linens and personal amenities, however, the rooms are very small. As this is a historical building and I was not expecting a large area, but this reminded me of a room in Paris. Most residents were on their computers in the common areas. If the rooms were a bit more spacious this would be a hard 5 star review. I had to kick it down a star because I felt little
cramped.
