The Siren Hotel, an Ash Hotel

I loved the decor throughout the entire hotel. I loved the bar downstairs. The staff was very friendly and welcoming.

Convenient location, very friendly staff, cozy rooms, fun atmosphere! There was so much attention to detail. The Siren has a young hip vibe!

We were in town for a concert at Comerica Park and wanted to be in walking distance. This place has storied history and looked wonderful online. Upon our arrival we appreciated the friendly & helpful valet staff! The check in desk, cafe and seating areas were well appointed & clean. We chose in person check in and Cheyenne was very personable, got us checked and offered points of interest of we wanted to explore downtown even. Our room was on the 10th floor. The elevators worked really well. Our room was amazing! Bed comfortable and heating/cooling just right! We went back to front desk for area pizza options and Mya gave us a couple options including one of her favorite places which we ultimately chose & were not disappointed! We arrived back at our room after the concert around 12:30am and even though our room was by the elevators the noise level was not disrupting. Outside city noises were present but expected. We slept well and online check out was easy and valet again was awesome! Any employee we had an interaction with was friendly & helpful! When we come back we will book direct again with The Siren Hotel!

The siren is a cool boutique hotel in a restored old building in downtown Detroit. The retro vibe helps you accept small deficiencies that would otherwise rankle. The room was neat but small, and a very large flatscreen tv was mounted on an arm on a wall in such a way as to impede walking around the bed - when a smaller tv on a different wall would have worked fine. The air conditioner blew on the bed, making for a cool night. The shower hot water took forever to get to the ninth floor. But the bathroom was retro and fun, and had nice towels. The bed was comfortable. The bar downstairs had been suggested to us as being really cool and frankly it was fun and retro, but small; drinks were good and bartenders friendly. Front desk staff were super helpful and friendly. The valet staff were the only ones I found unhelpful. When we decided to unload bags and self park, I clearly was struggling to handle two large suitcases. They didn’t respond at all and no bellhop came to the rescue. The lobby has a small coffee shop with a few breakfast nibbles, but the hotel has no actual restaurant.

I stayed here, and besides for a couple unspeakable things that occurred during the stay, someone on the internet to this day has been non stop threatening and harassing me. This individual has been repeating back to me intimate details of phone conversations I had in my room as well as other places within the building ever since the day I left. That is where this hotel is at in terms of privacy. Also, when I was in the shower, I heard what sounded like someone in the room above me attempting to feed something down the bathroom vent. I did not enjoy my stay here and found it to be a very sketchy experience, not all the employees are rude, but that woman running the front desk is absolutely treacherous, loud, and rude.

I stayed at The Siren Hotel for a solo trip to Detroit, and was not disappointed! The location of the hotel is fantastic (and walkable!) to many key venues (Comerica Park, Ford Field, Fox Theater, Little Caesars Arena, Greektown) and public transportation (People Mover, Q, and Bus). Staff were friendly and attentive. A great boutique hotel in the heart of downtown Detroit.

Good hotel but pillows need upgrade, staff needs to be more proactive and bullish with customer service, and overall amenities need some nurture.

Great location for any and all activity in downtown Detroit. The ambiance is quite something and carries through to the guest rooms. We enjoyed our stay. Rooms are small as expected in downtown properties. Very well appointed. Our shower (has a blind that can be pulled) had a full window overlooking the city. The city lights make an excellent "night light" when you get up in the middle of the night! Staff was very friendly and helpful.

We bought our room through Priceline, which advertised it as a "King Studio" which had pictures with four windows, a table and chairs, large headboard, decently sized shower around 350sqft. When we got to our room, it was a tiny 100sqft very bare room with only a full bed. When we spoke with reception we learned what was advertised to us was The Parlor room and the hotel doesnt have king beds in studio rooms. There was clearly a flaw in how the hotel entered rooms on Priceline. She reassigned us to a Queen Studio saying that was the only thing they had available. The Parlor Rooms had been booked by other guests. While we appreciated the slightly larger bed, the room was still incredibly disappointing. There were barely any surfaces to put our stuff on and absolutely nowhere to hang anything. The shower was small and crowded. Housekeeping also never cleaned our rooms or brought us new towels. We paid $1,197 for our three night stay and it felt like we were staying in a hostel, not a luxury boutique hotel. We were really looking forward to our stay as the nicer rooms, like The Parlor Room, look incredible online. Unfortunately we were very disappointed in our experience. I've requested a refund, Priceline said they are discussing options with the hotel. I would not reccomend staying at this hotel, at least not if you are in one of the studio rooms.

Was up for the weekend while wife was working , was so close to the Ball park and many other outdoor activities great starting point

This hotel takes you back in time with so many original features of a hotel built in the 1920's.
The rooms are a bit smaller, but quiet, nicely appointed and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was beautifully tiled with what looked to be original tiles.
The staff was excellent, offering suggestions for places to eat and how to use the free Q line for
transportation in the city.
Don't miss The Candy Bar; they serve great drinks and the atmosphere is cool. Do make reservations ahead of time on Resy as it is quite small and books up fast. The Siren Cafe, right in the lobby offers beverages and bakery items. We didn't make it into the Chenin Bar because it was packed!
We would definitely go back, the only suggestion would be to have a small mini fridge in the rooms.

An average stay for us. Property seemed to be overly hyped up on Hotels.com. Bed was comfortable but the sole chair in the room was torture. Electrical outlets were broken and no coffee machine was provided and not enough towel racks.

Staying at the Siren feels like being part of the neighborhood! The Siren Team, ambience, Cafe, Garden, and the rooms are all so Lovely!

Great Vibe. Perfect location! Entire staff was excellent and loved being there. It was an unexpected experience in the D!

Great hotel and perfect location. We live near the city but came to celebrate my partners birthday. It was awesome to enjoy our night and not have to drive home. The city was lively and our room was perfect for a couple. The only little suggestion I could make for improvement would be to add a mini fridge into the rooms!

Great boutique hotel in downtown Detroit. It was very charming and nicely decorated. Check in was fast and efficient. Staff were very polite and friendly. The room was small but clean. The bed was very comfortable. There was a little bit of noise at night but not terrible and totally uncontrollable for a Saturday night. Valet is $50 which is a bit expensive. If you valet you should ask them to pick it up before you check out. We had to wait 20 mins for our car during the check out rush.

The room was clean and comfortable. Amenities were top notch. Dinner at Chenin was out of this world. That foccia!!

The Siren Hotel is in the perfect location for exploring and enjoying downtown Detroit. It was short street car ride to the DIA, a pleasant walk to the Detroit River waterfront trail and very close to many great restaurants. My room was small, but very comfortable- fluffy towels, crisp and fresh linens and everything I needed. The staff was genuinely warm and helpful - including making great recommendations for restaurants and cocktail bars. The hotel is across the street from Detroit's lovely YMCA and, as hotel guests, we had access to to this incredible facility. I will definitely stay at The Siren again.
