We had a great stay at Aloft South Bend! The location was perfect, the industrial-chic vibe was fun and unique, and the oversized rooms and comfortable beds made for a relaxing visit. Easy parking onsite was a bonus.
The only downsides were the dim bathroom lighting and a slight odor coming from the sink drain.
The standout of our stay was Salleigh at the front desk. She greeted us with a warm smile, shared information about the hotel's artwork and local community, and went above and beyond to ensure guests felt welcome and well cared for. Her friendly, attentive service made a good impression.
It has to be said this tjis is a beautiful property. And it must be added that the individuals I encountered made mlfor an amazing stay! From check-in to check-out, Esmeralda and Valerie provided top tier customer service. I also need to mention that KB was an amazing bar tender....Aloft, you made a work trip that much more fun and unforgettable!
Every time my business partner and I have stayed at this location the staff has been amazing. So very accommodating to any of our requests! On multiple different stays here Salleigh at the front desk has been so enjoyable to speak with, gone the extra mile, as well as given us superb customer service! This is getting harder and harder to find these days, great stay and great staff!

Pool wasn’t heated as stated
The staff was very accommodating and nice. The lobby was cute and cozy. We enjoyed the breakfast and playing pool in the lobby. The bedroom and bathroom were updated and pleasant.
Not sure if it was because we were on the 11th floor, but the water for the shower didn’t get that hot. The hot water in the lobby for tea also wasn’t very hot. We also got put in the wrong room. We were supposed to be in a nicer room. Thankfully, because I told the front desk the next day, they gave us a refund, and comped our breakfast. But otherwise we would’ve been charged for a room we didn’t get.
Absolute disaster. We booked a weekend in South Bend because we were new to the area and wanted to be in walking distance of some amazing restaurants. Upon check-in, the lobby was filled with young children and their parents having a good time (all there for a hockey tournament). We traveled with our kids for sports so we get that. Unfortunately, we were never able to make it to our room. We parked on the 4th floor and waited and waited for the elevator. Each time it was PACKED with parents and children. We couldn't get our luggage carts on the elevator. We waited for four elevators and finally decided to check out of the hotel. We are thankful we were not charged.
