Stiff bed but still good for the price

Cleaning staff was lazy - dint replace hand towels, dint refill the coffee, needed to ask them to clear the bins. General professionalism was missing.
One night there was a gecko in my room, no way to contact the staff as the phone in room was disconnected and also no one was at the reception.
Only stayed for the location. Avoid if you can
The property is in a great location, just a 1 minute walk from Tiger Muay Thai and the various training camps on “fitness street”. The property also has a nice pool area.
Incredibly dated, very badly in need of a refurbishment, the rooms were never cleaned properly, the bathrooms look like they’d never been clean, there was an ant infestation which resulted in ants crawling on me in the night, when I was using the toilet, in the shower, despite telling the staff of this problem, nothing was done. The room felt very dark and dingy. The bathroom was awfully dirty and staff never cleaned properly. Cups were never cleaned. It’s usual in this area for water to be left daily, they often completely forgot. Some days the staff completely forgot to clean, and when they did it was often late in the day after 2pm when I was trying to use the room. The WiFi did not work whatsoever, which made working remotely impossible so I had to connect to my phone.
The location, the pool and general setting.
Cleanliness was an issue.
The bath room smelled so bad.
The cleaner won’t exchange towels and sheets everyday.
Basic but okay amenities
Staff tried to overcharge me for an extra 4 nights when I paid at the start, but due to their lack of receipt keeping, they tried to charge me again and claim it was me who didn’t pay.
Rude and confrontational when showing proof of payment from my bank.
Location great, although a bit odd that we were the only guests in the place.
Swimming pool was nice although the sun beds and general upkeep looked a little weathered.
A couple of things:
1. Pillows to high/hard, fridge making a noise so had difficulty sleeping most nights.
2. Our room was painted a dark green so felt dark - on final night, our electricity cut out and we moved next door - brighter and cleaner room ... my fault, as the only guests, i should have looked at multiple rooms!!!
3. Cleanliness was OK - found stains on walls, ants crawling around and the occasional coackroach, but you get what you pay for i guess.
4. Restaurant was closed, maybe due to the lack of guests, and there is plenty of choice along the street - however, it would have been nice to know in advance.
