Travellers Rest Hotel

We arrived on the Friday evening and were given rooms on the second floor via two flights of stairs off a narrow corridor, partially blocked by golf bags. The kitchen door led directly onto the corridor and stairs with no fire resisting door. I was to stay in my room for one night then to be moved to the room next door which was described as a better room. I was not told that the real reason for being moved was that refurbishment was to be carried out to that room.
The following morning, I was rudely awakened by a Kanko type hammer drill going full pelt next door. This carried on for a few days along with other works continuing for the remainder of our stay. The corridor was strewn with debris, mattresses and other miscellaneous objects. The-only way out in a fire situation was via the window onto a narrow ledge and onto a corrugated roof of the next building. This place is totally unsafe for anyone staying above the ground floor. Never again.

This was a great location. I was afraid it would be noisy, but my room was in the back and very quite. This was a great price and would be perfect for a long stay. I only stayed 1 night because the mattress was hard as a rock. Balcony is good for smokers. No elevator, if you have issues with stairs, do not book. Overall good hotel

Rooms are good, small balcony, maid service exellent, friendly owner, ideal if you play golf, they run a great service from the hotel, all in all in these difficult times they looked after me 100%.highly recommended.

Staff were great, location perfect, service faultless. Close to all the action, but still very quiet as most guests were golfing guys who get up early and disappear until 3pm so they are not late night revellers. The place is empty and quiet until mid afternoon.
I have already booked for my next trip.

Location is great. Right near soi Buakhao, LK Metro, but since it on soi Lengkee there is not so loud. Anyway - even if there is some party 2am soi is "dead". Only noisy motorbikes can disturb. Plus inside hotel is super quiet. Mabey because most of visitors are elderly golf players, but never heard any noise. Probably only me can disturb people when back at 4 am.
Stuff are friendly. Cleaning is regular and when some of them see you - always ask if you want to clean your room.
No bugs, mosqitoes or smth.
Wifi signal is stable and pretty fast - hd videos watch without freezes.
Aircon work good, plus a fan on ceiling.
GUEST'S FRIENDLY (no charge).
I don't play golf, but as i understood - this is a really good place for a golfers, looks like they organise things for this, can't say more.

Only two moments dissapoint: typical problem for a Pattaya's small hotels - water pressure in shower, but honestly, it's such a rare to have a good one for a budget hotels. And the other, if your room is on the left side of the hotel, so you can't open curtains. Next hotel and balconies literally in 50 cm from yours. But if you are exhibitionist - no problem.

Easy and convenient stay, great location, good value for the money and the staff is very service minded and super nice.

paid for most expensive room, put in cheapest, told to talk to manager but he was on the piss every night and playing golf all day, no one there can do nothing only him, when i finally see him his anser was what do you want me to do theres someone already been given it, no refund no nothing,not interested, room was never cleaned and towels never changed same in my friends room. had to leave this place.

Friendly staff, reasonable price, I'll stay there again.

My room was old and the fixtures and furniture were in poor condition. The room was dirty with cobwebs hanging from the ceiling in several places and mosquitoes in the bathroom. The bed did seem clean and comfortable at least. It was also really cheap. I've had much better rooms in Thailand for the same price though. On the plus side the location is great if you want to be close to Pattaya nightlife.
