I am writing to formally escalate a serious matter concerning my family’s recent stay at Hampton Inn & Suites Flagstaff East, which involved prolonged check-in delays, refusal to coordinate with the booking partner, unauthorized duplicate charges, and the complete absence of a finalized bill or written resolution.

Upon arrival for check-in on January 3, we were made to wait approximately three hours because our confirmed reservation was not appearing in the Hilton Honors system. Despite the issue being administrative and verifiable, the supervisor on duty failed to resolve it in a timely manner.

Because the reservation was made through a third-party platform, the front desk staff repeatedly avoided responding to Booking.com’s verification calls. When we ourselves contacted Booking.com, the front desk held the call for nearly 15 minutes and only engaged after insistence. The reservation was ultimately confirmed and validated by Booking.com, despite the hotel’s initial reluctance to cooperate.

On the following day, after returning from a long and exhausting day, our room key was deactivated. We were informed that payment had allegedly not been received, even though Booking.com had already charged us in full in advance for the entire stay.

At the front desk, a staff member took my credit card under the explicit representation that it was required only for incidental authorization. Contrary to that representation, the card was charged again for the full stay, resulting in a duplicate payment. This constitutes a serious billing irregularity.

During check-out, while attempting to resolve this issue, my entire family was left waiting in the car for approximately one hour, causing unnecessary distress. Despite repeated requests, no corrected invoice, receipt, or written clarification has been provided to date.
