Hostería Hacienda Pueblo Viejo

El lugar es muy bonito y bien ubicado. Sin embargo el personal y los servicios no fueron buenos.
Había muchísimo polvo al punto de causar alergias.
De igual manera al momento del check in no había nadie esperando.
Cuando llegamos nos dijeron que el restaurante iba a estar abierto hasta las 9 pm, fuimos a las 8:15 y ya habían cerrado la cocina, por lo que toco salir del lugar a buscar restaurante en Ibarra.
El desayuno estuvo normal.
Al momento del Check out invadieron la privacidad. Se supone que el Check out se hace a las 12 pero llegaron a las 11 a golpear la puerta para que ya nos vayamos. Nos dieron literalmente 10 minutos para salir aunque faltaba todavía una hora, y la persona estando con una muy mala actitud.

La atención es buena, pero el olor a humedad en las habitaciones es bastante fuerte, hay mucho descuido en cuanto al aseo de la hostería, los muebles que están en la recepción y en la parte del área de televisión están muy sucios, y debajo de los cojines hay basura y polvo, lucen bastante descuidados, también vi popó de perro por varios lugares, lo que atrae moscas, se debería advertir a los huéspedes que van con mascotas que recojan sus desechos. En resumen creo que es un espacio muy bonito, pero que le falta bastante por explotar y cuidar sobre todo en lo que a limpieza se refiere.

We liked the staff Service, the location, the room was comfortable and clean. Also the breakfast was good. All in all a very good option for the price.

We were so pleased to have booked this place. As soon as we got there, Maria (la ingeniera), owner of the hosteria welcomed us as we were family. The place is absolutely gorgeous. Built by the "jesuitas" in the 18th century, this renovated hosteria takes you back in time. Miguel, one of the front desk employees, took care of us the whole time we were there as if we were royalty! No kidding... anything we asked for he took care of it right away! The room was beautiful and very spacey. The restaurant and its server (forgot his name.. long braided haired man from Otavalo) gave us a five star service! All in all, we recommend this place to anyone. If you want q five star service in the middle of the Andes mountains, this is the place to go :-)

This is a converted monastery / retreat center that is really comfortable, and has not only breakfast but a full dining room with a great dinner. It's right near Cotacahi and Lake Cuicacho. Staff is super friendly, breakfast is great. Two issues to be aware of: (1) it's hard to find and there and Google Maps had old road configurations which didn't work :( (2) the facility and gardens could use a little bit of tender loving care. All in al it was a great stay.
