We were traveling with dogs and found ourselves needing a dog friendly place to stay last minute … Kimpton Tryin park hotel was WONDERFUL. Sooo dog friendly yet still very clean & luxurious. The front desk staff even gave my son a coloring book and crayons for the road!
Watching Destiny, Dra, and Anthony work valet was a highlight. They were working so hard & deserve alllll the shout outs!!

The beds were comfortable and the view from the room was cool. It was walking distance to the stadium.
The staff had bad attitudes. They didn’t honor the breakfast package we had purchased. Their website says the roof top is open during the day for views and yoga. It doesn’t open until 4:30 according to the front desk who had it blocked off. It also closes at 11:15 pm so we checked in and went to our concert, came back to it closed. Got up the next morning to go show our teen the roof before checking out only to be told no.
The staff is exceptional, very welcoming, helpful and smiling!
Valet was fantastic, especially Mar, he really loves working for Kimpton!
The hotel is in a great location and has a yummy restaurant attached. Pretty hotel and will definitely come back🤩 also our mini-golden doodle was welcomed warmly 🐕

I stayed at the Kimpton Tyron Park Hotel for a wedding I was attending. The room was very spacious clean and my view was great. The staff at this hotel were awesome from valet front desk and bellman. I ate brunch at Angeline‘s which was nice and good. Destiny in Valet Kyla at front desk and Bellman Matt all were super and deserved a raise along with recognition.
We enjoyed a fabulous experience at The Kimpton, friendly and courteous staff, especially Destiny in valet and Kim.
Both remembered our names and were very accommodating, they made us feel special.

We had a great stay and love that it’s dog friendly. All the staff were so nice and welcoming. Caroll helped us with our bags when leaving and we were so grateful for the help packing up everything and checking out.
The best thing about my experience this weekend at this hotel was the Valet. They are absolutely on top of it and make you feel more than welcome. They were friendly, prompt and made you feel like a special guest every-time you encountered them. Anthony was great! He definitely stood out to my fiancée and I.
I recently stayed at this hotel with my 9-year-old son for two nights and left extremely disappointed.
Upon arrival, I immediately noticed a “Lover’s Kit” prominently displayed on the minibar. Since I was traveling with a child, I found this inappropriate and didn’t want to spend the weekend answering questions about adult-themed products. I moved the item behind the minibar tray to keep it out of sight.
Throughout our entire stay, I kept the “Do Not Disturb” sign displayed on my door. No housekeeping service was requested or needed. However, when preparing to check out, I remembered to retrieve the item from behind the tray so I wouldn’t be mistakenly charged. To my surprise, I discovered that another Lover’s Kit had been placed in the room.
That raised several concerns:
1. Someone entered my room despite the Do Not Disturb sign being displayed.
2. The hotel staff apparently handled and restocked minibar inventory while guests were occupying the room and had requested privacy.
3. Adult-themed products are being prominently displayed in rooms without any indication that guests are visiting for a romantic getaway or adult-focused event.
As a parent, I found this particularly inappropriate. Whether others agree or not, these products should not be placed in plain view of children.
Beyond the privacy concerns, the hotel itself fell short of expectations. The property felt worn and poorly maintained. There was noticeable dust throughout the room, stains on the carpet, and the furnishings were not nearly as nice as the photos suggested. The overall experience simply did not match the boutique luxury atmosphere the hotel advertises.
Unfortunately, what should have been a fun trip with my son left me questioning both the cleanliness standards and the hotel’s respect for guest privacy.
Next time, we’ll spend our money a few blocks away at the Bohemian instead.
Management may want to review both their minibar policies and their procedures regarding Do Not Disturb rooms, because what occurred during our stay was unacceptable.
Good lord cation. Very walkable. Rooms were great. The hotel had a real nice vibe. Rooftop bar was fun. Our valet Anthony was super nice
Great location in Charlotte with a roof top bar and one of our favorite restaurants Angelines right down stairs. We loved the view, the bed was so comfortable and the hotel design and staff were great!
The parking was a little limited. The elevator system took a minute to get the hang of ha. Merchant and Trade bar service was tough both when it was crowded and when it wasn't even. But really, the hotel was awesome.
The Kimpton Tryon Hotel and Staff were amazing. We stayed for 5 days and everyone was very hospitable.
Our Valet, Mar was exceptional, along with all the valets we encountered. Thank you for making this stay an amazing experience

My Uber did not stop in the right place and pulled away ... and they actually RAN after her! So I was able to get to the airport on time.
