Hotel GDS Brickfield Kuala Lumpur

Getting the negatives out of the way first:

1. Arrived to find the queen room i had booked and paid for was not available (apparently it had been double booked through another booking agency (seriously?!)). They tried to fob me of with an offer of a room at a sister hotel, i refused as it was the other side of KL, and so they ordered me a twin on site. However, i was kept im the lobby for an hour while they prepared it as it had not been cleaned earlier (consider this was at 10.30pm it rung alarm bells about their management).
2. Whilst the room was booked for me and my wife, they only provided one towel. It took three calls for them to finally bring one up.
3. As described above, reception staffing is generally shoddy.

The positives:

1. Affordable and great location near KL Sentral and in the heart of brickfields
2. Rooms are actually quite nice for the money- well done up, air conditioned and nice bathrooms.

All in all, a good hotel but very poorly staffed/managed. Once this is fixed it has huge potential. However at the moment i would avoid.

Geboekt voor 1 nacht als tussenstop voor een doorreis naar Medan. De ligging van het hotel t.o.v. Kuala Lumpur Sentral station is ideaal (10 minuten loopafstand) en in een leuke Indiaase wijk met verschillende restaurantjes en barretjes. Het hotel is goedkoop, de kamer had een raam (niet bij alle kamers het geval begreep ik) en is voorzien van een airco, maar ze zijn wel erg klein. Precies wat je eigenlijk kan verwachten voor deze prijs. De hygiene is wel enigzins teleurstellend met een wat plakkerige en smerige vloer en het beddengoed wat niet erg fris ruikt. Voor deze prijs al met al prima voor 1 nachtje, mochten wij nog een keer vaker een hotel boeken in Medan zouden we toch liever iets meer uitgeven voor iets meer comfort en kamer.

Standard room is small but very comfortable bed with a large TV. Everything is new and clean. Surprisingly quiet when room not facing the main road

Value for money stay

Really great location - close to the train station and some good local food nearby. The hotel was cute and comfortable with a fridge! As someone who likes cold water this was great. Hot water barely lasted at all but that was the biggest complaint.

NICE ROOM BUT VERY SMALL NO TABLE AND SOFA. .SHOULD SERVE BIG BOTTLE OF MINERAL WATER.

Stayed with my family - and the room was different from what I have seen on Expedia.
Don not fall for it, at first I was surprised to see such a cheap with good quality - turns out when I see the real room was very incapacious. I had to ask the operator to change my room to a bigger one.

Overall the cleanliness was OK and the staff is helpful - they also let me check out late without any additional payment.

Located in little India of Kuala Lumpur, location was great near KL Sentral.

Lovely! Room 305 is the best

Nice room. New fittings. Clean, but small. No closet in room. No clothes hangers in bathroom. Lots of street noise/music until 11.00 pm in first floor room looking out on street.

Still good value for money considering cheap cost of room.

這個價位是可以的，乾淨就好。
記得帶牙刷。
