Cleanliness
7.8
Mixed sentiment: many reviewers praised clean, fresh-smelling rooms, but several reports of dirty towels, a used washcloth, hair in showers and a carpet that could use cleaning lowered this score.
Service
8.4
Mixed but generally positive: multiple guests called out friendly, helpful staff (Jose and others) and accommodating reception, though several negative reports of an unfriendly greeter, an unpleasant desk attendant (Dwight) and slow/check-in phone distractions were noted.
Location
9.7
Strongly positive: many reviews praised proximity to shops, restaurants, highways and TXST San Marcos; location repeatedly described as convenient for travel and errands.
Room Quality
9.1
Generally very positive: rooms described as spacious, modern, comfortable beds and smelling nice; one note that the hotel is a little older but still acceptable.
Amenities
8.4
Mostly positive: complimentary breakfast, waffle maker, good coffee, HBO, refrigerator and microwave were appreciated, though some minor amenity issues were reported (fridge not cold, broken toilet paper holder, possible lack of bathroom fan).
Value for Money
8.7
Positive: multiple mentions of decent or perfect pricing and not being overpriced, supporting a strong value perception.
Food and Beverage
8.2
Generally good: breakfast and coffee received several compliments (good choices, great breakfast), though one guest explicitly distrusted the breakfast cleanliness which modestly lowered the score.
Overall Experience
8.5
Overall positive: many guests said they'd stay again and highlighted location, cleanliness and helpful staff; occasional notable negatives (front-desk rudeness, isolated cleanliness lapses) kept this from being higher.

Not happy with booking.com
Pros:

Booking.com listed this site in the list of motels in Kyle South Dakota. Only 18 hour drive 😫😡

Cons:

Too far from my Rushmore

Good except for the greeter was not very friendly
Pros:

Breakfast was good Room was nice and clean

Cons:

It was late when we arrived and the staff check in lady was not very friendly and she gave us a hard time. Then she made us wait while she took a phone call. She was answering questions to the other person on the phone for a long time about an event convention that was going to be happening months down the road instead of finishing our registration. Seemed irritated she had to check us in.

Clean, fresh smelling room with easy access to everything
Pros:

This location was easy access to shops, food options, and main roads, which was great for us to be able to take care of our student we were visiting. Also, the room smelled great when we first walked in, unlike most hotel rooms that smell musty when you first walk in.
