Lighthouse View Oceanfront Lodging

There was nothing wrong with the accommodations, it was clean and oceanfront. The pictures of the beachfront have not been updated to depict the real oceanfront. There is no beachfront, no way to access it from the property. Large sandbags are in place. DO NOT book a first floor, because the only thing you’ll see is the sandbags as a view.

The beach view room I had was great! It had an amazing view of the ocean, and it was nice and private. I highly recommend.

Great ocean view

a couple weeks after Hurricane Erinn outer winds put water 4 feet high under the buildings. You cleaned up the sand and water really great and opened up for business right away

Clean, basic property with a great beach location. Strange to have to bring towels to exchange at the laundry station, but very nice staff.

I loved the balcony,pool and hot tub!
The kitchen was perfect and the tv was great.
The pillows were awful.
All in all,a great place.

First, the view: Extraordinary! Hearing waves a big plus! Second, the beach: useless! Sandbags prevented enjoyment for any but the young and fit. Third,the service: NON EXISTENT! Surprises to learn that WE were the housekeeping staff required to remove and transport all linens and trash to 2 different locations down 4 flights without so much as a bag for laundry by 10 am check out time. At this price point: unacceptable!

Peaceful, beautiful beach, nice people

Think HE Express type property, but the Atlantic Ocean and a beautiful beach is directly behind! Friendly, helpful staff throughout. Buxton NC area has many food/ attractions/ shops....

Didn’t realize our room was going to be on the 4th level (so many stairs). They should have had a questionnaire form about ability to climb that amount of stairs. It was so far out from the main attractions. Definitely a more relaxation spot!

The pool gate is hard to enter! All.else is amazing!

Outstanding ocean front hotel! However, there is virtually no beach area even at low tide. Sand bags make it very difficult getting to the beach.

I recently stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in the poolside doubles. The location is perfect it truly can’t get any better. You walk right onto the beach, which was beautiful.

Our room was clean and spacious enough for two adults and one child. Our beds were made every day, and the cleaning staff ladies were super sweet and helpful.

That said, there are several things that could be improved, and they’re deal-breakers for me, probably why I will not stay here again. The coffee machine was terrible, and the coffee itself was awful. The water from the sink and shower had a sewage smell, so we had to buy gallon water to brush our teeth. The toilet handle was broken; after flushing, you had to manually lift the handle back up, or the water wont flow back down. Lastly, the pillows were so thin and uncomfortable that it was hard to get a good night’s rest.

Overall, the room was okay but could be much better especially for the high price!

Clean ocean view. What more can you ask for.

The property is good, very close to the beach. The beach is really nice and quiet. We enjoyed convenience of the outdoor shower. What was very disappointing was the beds. Extremely uncomfortable, even my two kids could not sleep well. I hear they are renovating rooms, so maybe ours is still in the list. We drove a long trip and really wanted to sleep.

We were in 312. Condo was spacious for my family of 4. The kids loved the bunk beds. All of the beds were comfortable. The decks were nice with chairs. Back deck had a great view of the ocean. Unfortunately, the tide was high the entire time so there wasn’t a beach. There was a smell to the condo, we purchased a candle to help. The bathroom could use some TLC. Would be nice if there were essentials such as Salt, Pepper, coffee, etc. The pool & hot tub were nice & maintained.

We were super excited about this stay .. the apartment itself was clean and beds comfy however there was limited towels/clean sheets etc we had to virtually beg for a bed change.. the towels are tiny we could hardly get dry the tv didn’t work neither did the internet no personal service at all we never saw a soul .. not a warm welcome

Beautiful property

Great and convenient place to stay! We didn’t have any issues, and were able to enjoy all things surrounding as well as the beach!
