Front desk worker was great at check in as was the bartender. Rooms were spacious, clean, and modern.

Cons:

Parking spots were small, the deck was dangerous to navigate. There was no lotion provided with toiletries.

Perfect blend of high standard and friendly welcome!
Pros:

The welcome at the AC Marriott in Chapel Hill was warm and friendly. All the staff were so helpful and accommodating (thank you Miss Renee for making myself and my daughter so at home and to the night staff on check-in for ensuring I had a quiet room). The hotel is centrally located and close to the university, shops and amenities. Its rooms are of a high standard, spacious and well-equipped.

Cons:

A kettle in the room would have been good! Other than that, there was nothing I didn’t like/love.

Lovely hotel in very convenient location.
Pros:

Beautiful, newer, modern hotel right downtown….close to shops and restaurants. Everything was walkable. Our room was quite large, very well appointed. There was a lovely walk-in shower with plenty of towels. The facilities are lovely, and the staff was great. When we checked in we were helped by Renee. Too many times desk personnel make you feel you are taking up their time. Not with Renee….she was very friendly and helpful.

Cons:

There was just one negative, and that was the lobby bar. My husband wanted an after dinner drink, and ordered a brandy. He was given the smallest drink we have ever seen for $15. My husband doesn’t believe in asking prices ahead of time. Can’t recommend the lounge.

Horrible due to the location of the room
Pros:

We stayed in room 350. Unfortunately a bar was right outside our window. Very noisy a lot of screaming and shouting on top of the band playing. I get it that’s what that’s all about but we were trying to get a good nights sleep because we had a big day ahead of us and it didn’t stop till 2 AM and we had to be up at 5 AM. If management doesn’t make this right we will take our next step.

Pleasant enough as it was a wedding but ruined by staff’s seeming inconsideration and not being helpful enough.

Staff was not very helpful with a problem with my reservation via booking.com . Granted the problem was later determined to be caused by booking.com, hotel staff did not initially make an effort to remedy until I showed my frustration trying to resolve the issue for over an hour.
