Baan Suan Hill Resort

Bij aankomst was er geen degelijk/minimaal ontvangst. De vrouw van de checkin zat op haar gsm aan one kamer, ik moest haar zelf vragen of we de kamer binnen mochten. Het slot van de deur was stuk, we konden onze kamer dus niet afsluiten en de kamers geven meteen uit op het open domein. Dat voelde onveilig aan. Toen ik vroeg of er een oplossing was voor het slot, werd ik genegeerd. Binnen waren de bedden gelukkig netjes, maar de badkamer is afgeleefd en was niet proper, tafeltje onbruikbaar, het zou zo uiteenvallen. De wifi in de kamer werkte niet. Het ontbijt was erbarmelijk. Koude spiegeleitjes uren geleden gebakken, toast en een beetje fruit, meer kon je hier niet krijgen. Het personeel was lui, onbehulpzaam, onvriendelijk en konden geen basis Engels. Helemaal niet de vriendelijkheid die je in Thailand zou verwachten.

Vi boede en enkelt nat på hotellet, inden vi skulle videre på tur i Khao Sok nationalpark. Hotellet ligger kun 10 minutters kørsel fra molen, hvor bådene afgår fra, og det er derfor et opvalgt valg, når man skal besøge parken. Hotellet er rent og velholdt, og værelserne ligger i hver sin lille hytte med en god terrasse. Det eneste minus var, at sengene var meget hårde at sove på men for en enkelt nat, gik det fint.

Het was een leuke ervaring. Ideaal om de dag erna naar Khao Sok National park te gaan. De incheck liep bij ons niet zo soepel. Niet iedereen spreekt goed Engels. Verder was er niks in de buurt. Het was wel een prettig verblijf. 7eleven is ongeveer 20 minuten lopen.

Staffs are very friendly and provide excellent service. The property is clean. Area around the property is beautiful, eco-friendly, safe, and quiet.

Good location to stay when visiting Khao Sok national park.Very basic cottage, you need your own transportation to get anywhere, staff speak very limited English but helpful for the most part. Basic breakfast but thankfully 7-11 and other restaurants are nearby. Our cottage has 2 stools and a hammock out on the deck, but there’s a hole in the middle of the deck,other cottages have the same thing, I figured they were fixing something and just didn’t bother to cover the hole which is very unsafe! and there’re a lot of mosquitoes!! Make sure you have bug repellent!

Das war bei meiner Thailandreise ein Highlight. Es ist kein Ressort, es ist keine Unterkunft. Es ist ein zu Hause bei einer liebenswerten Familie. Auch wenn ich nur zwei Nächte dort war, fiel mir der Abschied schwer.

The place seemed to be in the middle of nowhere, but it's very lovely and has much potential for growth. It was a great transition place where we stayed for only 1 night just to be close to Khao Sok park. There is nothing nearby, but they have a food delivery service.

Wunderschöne Anlage, gut und günstig! Werden wieder kommen! Die Bungalows sind klein aber fein und haben alles was man braucht.

We had to pay our van from Krabi 1,000 baht extra to get here because it’s so far from Khao Sok town (over an hour away). It’s close to the lake itself, but there’s only one restaurant and nothing to do nearby and nowhere to book tours. The entire area is locals only. The owners are very very sweet and try to help with everything, but have very limited English. The WiFi didn’t reach our bungalow, but the place itself was cute and clean in good condition.
We ended up booking a new hotel back in Khao Sok (wished we would’ve just got off the van there when everyone else did instead of paying extra to get to Ban Suan). There’s no way to call your own taxi here, even Grab won’t come out this far to pick you up, so we had to awkwardly ask the owners to book us a car back to Khao Sok for our new hotel. They’re sweet and try their best, but the location was extremely inconvenient and this wasn’t very clear from the posting. They offer two lake tours, but the only options are a two hour or four hour. These cost 1,500-2,500 baht. You can pay 1,500 for a full day tour booked on Khao Sok town so this was a terrible deal. If you don’t mind being in the middle of nowhere then I guess you might enjoy this hotel, but don’t make the same mistake we did if you’re looking to do tours or activities from Khao Sok and have options for dinner or meet people.

Thank you for this beautiful place to stay in for one night before staying on Ratchaprapha lake. You were kind to me, and loved the cute little cottages surrounded by nature. You will helpful in organising the driver to pick me up at the airport, but I would just suggest you let you hotel guest know to be prepared with exact change. I felt comfortable to sleep there, and you were very helpful to call the taxi the next dayton have transportation to the lake. I wish you many people to stay at your lovely place. Thank you

Best with own transportation but they were very helpfull calling a tuktukvan. Very poor english but Google translate helps a lot and they really want to help with everything! Beautiful surroundings, excellent WiFi and a big room. 10-15 min walk to little restaurant and a little further to a ‘european’ Restaurant. But no real village, just a couple of houses and a supermarket with a few items. Very kind lady owner.
