SURPREENDENTE
Pros:

Surpreendi muito positvamente com acomodação, principalmente em relação ao custo-beneficio. Quarto amplo, limpo, roupa de cama e toalhas confortáveis, banheiro recem reformado e muito bem estruturado. Localização excelente, sendo possivel fazer todo o centro histórico caminhando. Café da manhã excepcional e ainda tem estacionamento incluso.

Great place to stay
Pros:

What a beautiful hotel that hubby and I had the pleasure to stay in. Had booked this last minute and wasn’t exactly sure where it was located, I thought it was closer to the city centre but as the taxi wove around the streets driving higher, it’s located on the back of the University and the botanical gardens side.
Upon entering was greeted by a lovely lady Leiri ? (hope I spelt it correctly) in reception who was professional and had such a beautiful aura and was all too happy to answer all my questions. She also recommended a place to dine just a few steps up from the hotel called Papa (definitely worth a visit, food was so good!).
Going to our room (we stayed in room #23) we were trying to use the key to unlock but there is also a pass that unlocks the door (tick for the added security).
Just to mention, from the lift there are a few steps up to the room.
The room was so lovely, had a separate sitting room area that looked out to the street and part of city. Bathroom had a nice setup, good hot water pressure. Bed was firm but comfy. Breakfast was included and it was awesome! Good variety of options from cereal, fresh fruit, pastries and your traditional bacon (omg so yum) boiled and scrambled eggs. Overall, highly recommend and will definitely look to stay here again.
Side note on the reviews saying reception don’t speak the language, I think the staff are Spanish, so when speaking Portuguese, there is a slight mix of Spanish in it, but I found them easy to understand.

Pros:

Location not too bad. Free parking was excellent. Breakfast was ok . Staff tried to please.

Cons:

Indoor Pool was closed for maintenance when we were there. Bar only open in “summer” according to front desk. Towels placed on floor were not replaced, just hung up (and only one of two). Heating/cooling likely needs maintenance. Safe was locked open so closet could not close which meant you had restricted closet access and no safe. (We don’t use so only closet issue bothered us. Bed could be more comfortable.

Sorry to be so negative but things should be better with a bit of work.

Pros:

Gostei da localização, do atendimento.

Cons:

O carpet e cortinas nos quartos não são uma boa pedida para hoteis, pois acumulam sempre poeira. O quarto é bom, mas ter um banheiro no quarto que não é totalmente fechado traz um grande incômodo. Isso foi péssimo!
