Everything was amazing. Spacious rooms, fantastic location, Mall next to the hotel, view from the room - beautiful, comfortable, very amazing hotel decor everywhere in the Hotel, well designed swimming pool, good food variety in all restaurants and bar, friendly staff, excellent chefs.

This was my second attempt at hoping to have a nice experience at Shangri-La Hotel.
A few days ago, I visited with my family and we ordered milkshakes, but they tasted like watered-down vanilla. I also ordered a virgin mojito, which was essentially lemonade with a few mint leaves. It was very disappointing.
Because the hotel is conveniently located nearby, we decided to give it another chance. Unfortunately, this visit was even worse. Although there were hardly any people there, we were told they were busy. Our drinks took around 30 minutes to arrive and were brought out separately rather than together.
When we paid the bill, we waited a long time for our change and eventually had to ask a member of staff. Considering the amount charged for service and taxes, the level of customer service was unacceptable.
Two years ago, we had a very good experience here, which is why we returned. Sadly, the customer service was poor, the drinks were disappointing, and overall the experience was not worth the price. I wouldn’t return or recommend it based on our recent visits.

This was our second stay at Shangri-La Colombo and it was just as amazing as the first. The service here is on another level. Even with so many guests checking in and out every day, the staff are always friendly, professional, and happy to help. The rooms are beautiful, comfortable, clean and have everything you need. We absolutely love staying here, and whenever we’re back in Colombo, Shangri-La Colombo will always be our first choice.
