Must book hotel in Colombo!
Pros:

Beautiful hotel, amazing way to start my Sri Lanka trip! The hotel and staff were exceptional. Shangri-La is a well known and reputable hotel brand, it did not fault this reputation - luxury feel at every corner. A bonus I discovered a steam room onsite near the pool, an amazing suprise!

Corporate and Not That Special
Pros:

The club room staff went above and beyond. So welcoming, and they made sure we were happy. Our room was beautiful and the staff obviously took care to make sure we had a great experience of the view.

Cons:

To be honest, thinking about other levels of care we received while traveling through the west/south west of Sri Lanka, this hotel seemed…boring. It was puzzling that in the “heart” of the main city we couldn’t sit in a sports bar to watch a game of cricket until 6pm (when the live games were finished). I can’t help but wonder if we could’ve stayed in a hotel that was more vibrant, in a very vibrant city.

Decent having connected to the Mall
The Front Desk who gave us late check out upon our request 😇

Cons:

The room was not clean to it’s standards I saw take stuck near the mirror the room had a peculiar stink upon letting the desk too know about it No one came to do anything about it muesli 🥣 got over and refills too before time asked the incharge he said it’s all over 😆

Good stay, comfortable hotel
Pros:

Great hotel to visit Colombo, or to start/end your trip to the rest of Sri Lanka. Decent, clean, sizable room with big bathroom, good pool, extensive breakfast.

Loved it, recommended.
Pros:

We liked the overall comfort. Great bed, bed linen and pillows . Small touches like change of towels in the evening and complimentary snacks were so appreciated. Our room boy Nayanasith was excellent.
The pool staff were particularly good.
We ate mostly in the Central cafe, the crab croissant was excellent. Tharu, Yasas and Gamag were so helpful.
Location was good, we loved accessing the OneGalle Face mall from the hotel.
