Staff was friendly. Beautiful views. Walking distance to town and restaurants. Plexiglass floors for a live action aquarium
We had a villa, not to be confused with the over water huts. Villa 41 does not have a pool but is a large home with fully stocked kitchen.
Ample towels and linens
Great beds and showers are good
The back faces the water but not the beach
More or an intercostal water way
We thought the house had a pool from the booking site but the hotel did have a shared one
We enjoyed our stay in an overwater bungalow. The private pool was perfect for cooling off each afternoon. The kitchen was nice to have, especially tge refrigerator. It even had ice trays, which was great to use for cold water, iced coffee, and adult beverages. The staff were really nice, as was the chef. The accommodations were clean and well stocked. Location was a bit far from San Pedro but we knew that when booking. Highly recommend!
The beauty of the Resort
The restaurant close early
The staff were extremely rude and had a terrible attitude. The room was very noisy.
I enjoyed everything! They were well mannered and kind!
Power went out one day, there was no communication I just woke up hot.
Nice room.
The restaurant was closed. I specifically asked if the restaurant was open the first night I stayed to which the they replied it was and then when I went to have dinner it was closed. The hotel was very noisy overnight with other guests partying in the next room all night. I decided to leave after 2 nights and was informed that they would refund me the 3rd night but they never have despite numerous messages and replies from them saying they would.
My partner and I recently spent my birthday at Lina Point Overwater Resort, and I cannot say enough good things about this hidden gem. From the moment we arrived on Wednesday, March 18th, we were treated like royalty.
We were greeted by Pedro at the front desk, who was fantastic—polite, fast, and incredibly efficient, which we really appreciated after a long day of travel. Since we were tired, we decided to eat on-site at The Mayan. Even though it was their final night before closing for renovations, the service didn't miss a beat.
Asain, our waiter and bartender, was super friendly and attentive.
Chef Julissa is a master of her craft—everything she prepared was cooked to absolute perfection.
The welcome drink was the perfect refreshing touch to kick off the vacation!
The next two mornings, we headed back for breakfast and were greeted by Britney. She is absolutely lovely and so inviting; her energy is the perfect way to start a Belizean morning.
The overwater bungalow itself was a dream. If you are looking to unplug, this is the place to do it. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the views are simply unmatched. A huge shoutout to our housekeepers, Gian and Jennifer, who kept our space immaculate, neat, and tidy throughout our stay.
The staff at Lina Point—Pedro, Asain, Julissa, Britney, Gian, and Jennifer—truly made my birthday memorable. If you want stunning views, a comfortable stay, and a team that genuinely cares about your experience, book Lina Point. I can’t wait to go back!

We liked our plunge pool. The staff was great as well.
Many parts of the building and the grounds need a refresh.
My friends and I stayed at Lina Point Belize Overwater Resort during a trip to Belize and had a great experience. The property is beautiful and peaceful, located slightly away from the busier areas of San Pedro, which made it feel like a relaxing retreat.
The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the overwater setting made the stay feel unique and memorable. It was a great place to relax in between excursions.
The staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful whenever we needed anything. Service throughout our stay was excellent.
Overall, it was a wonderful place to stay and a great base for exploring Ambergris Caye. I would definitely recommend it to travelers looking for a quiet and comfortable stay.
Our stay at the overwater bungalow at Lina Point was fantastic. The bungalow itself was beautifully designed, very comfortable, and truly unique.
The sunsets were absolutely spectacular, and the glass floor panels provided a fascinating view of the water below. Each morning, we saw copious amounts of fish swimming beneath us, and every night we watched tarpon swimming through our glass floors, which was an unforgettable experience. The private plunge pool on the deck was a wonderful feature and perfect for relaxing while enjoying the scenery.
The property was quiet, well maintained, and conveniently located close to town while still feeling peaceful and private.
A special mention goes to Pedro, one of the day workers at Lina Point. He was consistently friendly, helpful, and hardworking, and his efforts truly enhanced our stay.
Overall, this was a memorable and relaxing place to stay in San Pedro, and we would gladly recommend the overwater bungalows at Lina Point to anyone looking for a unique and scenic experience.
We really enjoyed our week at Lina Point and highly recommend the hotel. What it offered for what we paid seemed spot on. The staff was super friendly and all around a positive experience.
Nit-picking negatives:
(Honestly reaching but some folks would probably care more about these than we did..)
- Found one roach in the room, but we have that in our high end Southern California neighborhood so not a big deal.
- Mosquitoes were bad when the wind wasn't blowing, but again not much you can do there. Bring some bug spray and you will be fine.
- Only one lounger on the deck, would have been nice to have two.
- There was some construction happening in the nearby neighborhood, but at reasonable hours and it wasn't very loud.
- Toilet plumbing is a bit sensitive
- Would be nice to have a broom and pool skimmer for some spot cleaning. Just tracked in some dust that would have been nice to not have to involve housekeeping, same with removing some debris from the pool that had accumulated after a few days.
- It is a bit far north to walk to the heart of San Pedro, but we walked 2.5 miles each way one morning and covered most of what you want to see.
- The wall between the bathroom and bedroom does not go all the way up, so the sound travels.
Positives:
- Pretty much everything else.
- The windows in the floor made for great fish watching at night.
- The rooms were a good size and nice to have the kitchen for making a couple meals.
- There is a grocery store not far from the entrance to the neighborhood the hotel is in
- The neighborhood has a gate and guard, and everyone in the neighborhood was super friendly.
- The free breakfast was a nice light starter to the day (not a big meal but enough for us).
- The private deck and pool were great and felt pretty private.
- The air conditioning worked well so got to sleep in a cool room.
- The staff was super friendly and helpful. We booked a tour through them at the same price as viator. The viator tour would have been a large group and we would have had to get ourselves to the meetup in Belize City early. Through the hotel they got us to the boat terminal and it ended up just being 4 of us so a much nicer more private experience.
- The property was well maintained. It is slightly dated but clean and well kept up.
- The drinks at the bar were good, we didn't get to the restaurant.
- You park your golf cart right at your door and feels safe leaving them not locked up.
- We went out on the kayaks which were free and nice to have to check out the mangroves.
We would really recommend this place to anyone that is willing to spend a bit more versus some other hotels to have the overwater experience but are not expecting a 6 star resort. The added distance to town was not really an issue for us, but if you want to be in the middle of everything I would stay south of the bridge.
The room was clean and comfortable. There is filtered water to fill up a water bottle or to make a hot drink- that was a nice touch. Britney, Pedro, Asian, and the rest of the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The location is great, very tranquil yet close enough to all the activities in San Pedro. The views of the lagoon were beautiful and it was really nice to sit on our balcony and watch the wading birds hunt for fish. For breakfast, the have a house made multi-grain bread that was delicious and they offered a wonderful banana bread from a local bakery that I loved! There is no swimming in the lagoon but they have a pool and kayaks. I would highly recommend this resort.
A beautiful peaceful setting with great views over the lagoon
Bonus crocodiles to watch at night
Helpful staff, Brittany was great.
Loud music playing around the bar and pool area constantly day abd evening
Different loud music also playing at the same time from the restaurant and hotel building
Would be nice to enjoy the peaceful setting from your balcony with out the music blasting.
No one was in the bar to listen to it.
Very comfortable room with a view over the lagoon—great birdwatching! The staff was helpful and attentive and scheduled snorkeling trips, a golf cart rental, or whatever else we needed (Pedro and Karen were awesome !) We really enjoyed kayaking on the lagoon. Lina Point is perfectly situated to get to town or beaches without being caught up in the noise or hassle of beachfront resorts.
The hotel staff was welcoming and accommodating when you could find them. They put in long hours. I appreciated being welcoming with a smile any time I ran into staff at the hotel. I also liked the option in my overwater bungalow of the swing or the hammock. In addition, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND walking to the Farmhouse market right across the street from the hotel entrance. It’s about an 8 minute walk!
I really wanted to love this hotel. It looked great on paper but the cleanliness was definitely lacking. The private pool was filled with debris. The pool was not cleaned during our stay. Additionally, the bathroom looks like it didn’t get enough attention when cleaning. There was hair all over the soap dish upon arrival from body parts that are not appropriate to mention in case children are reading this. Those same types of hair were found on the hair dryer. I could not use these items because I was disgusted.
Outside of town and you will need a golf cart rental or taxi service to get around. Make sure you bring lots of cash if you opt for a taxi. It’s $15 to/from town
