The hotel staff was welcoming and accommodating when you could find them. They put in long hours. I appreciated being welcoming with a smile any time I ran into staff at the hotel. I also liked the option in my overwater bungalow of the swing or the hammock. In addition, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND walking to the Farmhouse market right across the street from the hotel entrance. It’s about an 8 minute walk!

We loved everything about our stay was amazing. Everyone was really helpful and accommodating. We loved the room was stayed in and all the wildlife around. It was perfectly nestled away from the main road, so it was ideal for us to rent a golf cart for easy access to the locations we visited. It was easy to communicate with the staff about scheduling day trips, and the more we spoke with the people who worked there, the more we felt at home. Everyone we spoke to was knowledgeable about the area, and we were able to book activities (snorkeling, yoga classes, drum circle sessions, couples massages, Christmas dinner and transportation) directly through Lina Point. Every day we saw new birds and wildlife that came right up to the property, but the Lina Point is a eco-resort, so the owner (Rick) and his staff strongly emphasized the need to protect these beautiful creatures and coexist with them (Sunny the stork, Scoot the grey heron, Rocky the crocodile, etc.). Rick himself designed and built the resort, and every detail of the Lina Point’s structure and architecture seems designed to offer guests the best view of San Pedro. Our room was incredibly beautiful. Late at night, we watched schools of fish pass underneath the glass/ acrylic floor windows of our cabin and sat on the swing set from our cabana deck. The Lina Point is truly a unique stay.

1. Beautiful, spacious villa with great views. Full kitchen with a dishwasher.
2. Great location—convenient, quiet, and peaceful.
3. Excellent hospitality. Pedro is very responsive on WhatsApp and helped us make dinner reservations and book excursions.
4. Complimentary transportation was punctual and very convenient.

So the trip in was nightmarish. If it could go wrong, it did. We showed up tired and frustrated. And then the staff fixed it in a matter of minutes. Such a warm welcome!! We had an amazing dinner steps from our room. Trip was cured 15 minutes!

We had an amazing time at Lina Pointe! David, Karen, and the bar and restaurant staff were incredibly hospitable and helpful. The location is beautiful and peaceful and the food and drinks were delicious

Our room was not clean - toenails in the bathroom, hair between the sheets, and a big roach. Plus a UV flashlight showed stains and smears in many places. That was enough for us to immediately go back to the manager and politely tell him it wouldn't work, but he just shrugged and went home for the night. Since it was already evening, we felt stuck there for one night, but we were nervous and zipped all our bags shut to make sure nothing hitched a ride, and left the lights on in the bathroom. We had booked for four nights, but rebooked and left the next morning. (The manager avoided talking to us on our way out.) The best you can say is that it's very badly in need of a remodel and new staff. I should also mention that we'd already stayed 2 different places in Belize, and neither had any of these issues. The next two places we stayed didn't either. Dirty rooms and poor management are uncommon in Belize, in our experience.
All the photos you see online are of the cabanas, but our room was very different. It was adjacent to the bar/pool area, maybe 6 feet away, and about 20 feet away from the front desk. Also, the glass windows in the floor seem like a good idea, but you can't see much, and the frames are raised from the floor so you trip over them constantly. Finally, you should know that the area is far away from the fun parts of town, out in the swamp.

The hotel is great. Loved the over-water cabana and the glass floors. David (hotel manager) was very nice and helpful, answering questions. The hotel food was very good, my wife is very picky with her food and she said it was the best chicken fingers. We were able to see a lot of water life, even a Salt water crocodile. We would come back.

Great base to explore Ambergris Caye and the mainland. We had more an open impossible amount of fun.

David is amazing!!! He has the best personality!!! He gave me great tips and directions and was always willing to help!!! I would give him more than 5 stars!!

My sister and I loved our stay at Lina point.I loved that they asked if it was a special occasion and decorated for my sister's birthday. They also picked us up from the boat terminal which was very convenient for us. Loved our room and view.

Great stay with great staff. David and Karen were awesome, very responsive and accommodating, highly recommend!!!

I really enjoyed the quietness I also enjoyed the bar and the bar staff along with the food at the restaurant.
