Friendly and welcoming
Pros:

Friendly and very welcoming, despite being near a main road and roundabout it was very quiet and the bed was very cozy and comfortable. Good breakfast, would defiantly stay again.

Clean but dated hotel desperately in need of a major refit

Cons:

The hotel needs a massive investment! The bathrooms are 1980s and 1990s i am sure it hasn’t been decorated for 10 years and is so tired and dark and needs a face lift. It is value for money but all rooms need a refit and all areas need redecorating and the entrances front and back are unfriendly and the reception is unwelcoming and if you don’t do this remedial work in the next 1 year it will will die sadly

Cons:

TV did not work. No double-glazing in an extremely noisy room facing a roundabout. Mattress should have been replaced. No plug in bathroom sink.

The hotel is situated by the roundabout making it very convenient but the hotel is very basic

Cons:

It was cold when we arrived and there was no heating, I thought ok, give it time, but it did not come on until I went to complain, then it was put on. The bed was not comfortable, and the windows rattled. Only one hand towel for the two of us. Very basic

Cons:

The beds needed to be taken to the tip.
They were extremely old with springs sticking up. Be warned - there are a lot of stairs at this hotel.

The hotel was very conveniently close to where we wanted to be..
Free on-site parking and they allowed us to leave the car after checkout whilst we walked into town.
The breakfast (included in the price) was very good. Thank you to the chef who stayed open to cook us a meal when we arrived within minutes of the restaurant closing.in the evening.
A lot of interesting history associated with the building.
The staff were all friendly and helpful. Thank you.

Cons:

As the name suggests the hotel is on a roundabout so there was a fair amount of traffic noise.
A shelf in the bathroom would be useful.
