Welcoming and friendly staff. Good breakfast. Location near the ferry port was ideal.
Bedroom decor was pretty tired, and the shower was functional, but a bit dodgy
Parking
that's about it
Arrived checked in to what was a very basic room
Leaking shower
Luke warm water
No soap dispensers/ Body wash
The staff were wonderful and my bed was unbelievably comfortable! The whole hotel, the building has an amazing ambience, welcoming and cosy. The ground floor is just beautiful... original beams, fire places, cupboards.... It is living history..... And the food is really good value. Having a parking place was a bonus and so was the electric fan in the bedroom! Marks out of 10???15!!!!
The exterior is shabby, but then the building IS VERY OLD! Don't look at the outside. Just wait until you get inside, you will LOVE this place!
Nice hotel with spacious rooms and an excellent breakfast. Friendly staff. Looks charming inside and outside, like an old inn.
As the name suggests, the hotel is right next to a busy roundabout and a motorway fly-over so it was a bit loud, even at night. I found mattress to be rather hard. An old building converted to a hotel with average workmanship (e.g. squeaky and uneven floors, walls with holes at joints). Relatively high price for a small town and a decent but not amazing standard of the hotel.
Easy to access, room was decent and breakfast was nice too. Ladies who work there are friendly and helpful.
The room was really hot and we didn't get a fan. The bin wasn't cleared, not a big deal though.
Very clean room including bathroom and linen; lovely, helpful and friendly staff; good choice at breakfast; excellent value.
One minor issue - there was not enough parking for everyone in the hotel car park but it was not difficult to find a spot a very short distance away.
Friendly staff, comfortable beds, lovely breakfast. Value for money
Carpark was slightly snug, but that’s all
Comfortable bed , nice breakfast
Traffic noise
Not far from the ferry terminal, very comfortable and large bed
Difficult to find the entrance to the car park at night, traffic and roundabouts confusing
Location, helpful staff and breakfast
Nothing
