I have stayed before and probably will do again because of their price and location
Pros:

Good food and a welcoming atmosphere

Cons:

No real ale, they used to have a good choice but the availability of only lagers and ice cold bottled beer was very disappointing

Pros:

The staff were friendly, the breakfast nice.

Cons:

The room was very tired and the mattress was very old and tired. The windows were equally old and wooden sash and let all the car noise from the roundabout in.

Staff were lovely but the building was very tired and grubby.
Pros:

The burgers we had for a meal in the evening were very nice. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Cons:

It was very chilly! The only warm spot in the bar was in front of the fire? But everyone wanted to sit there?? The rest of the pub was cold!

Disappointing.
Pros:

Cheap price.

Cons:

Bed mattress was extremely thin and uncomfortable. Fan did not work. The website (and the person checking me in) stated breakfast started at 0700. This was incorrect and so I had to leave before having breakfast (despite this being included in the price) as I had to make an early start.

Lovely staff and excellent food would definitely eat there again
Pros:

Lovely lady (les I believe her name was) on checkin and also she served us dinner was friendly and chatty. Food was delicious and reasonably priced.

Cons:

The bed was too soft for our likening I do know that this is a personal choice though.

Spend and extra few pounds and book somewhere else. This was not a good experience at all.

Really nice staff - who have been totally let down by a run down facility. Our interaction with staff was always helpful, warm and friendly. Bar had a great atmosphere to be fair.

Cons:

Room not clean - toilet had poo around the basin on arrival - hole in the tile lining of bathroom wall, bathroom door would'nt close, Curtains dirty, Carpet dirty and smelly - both twin beds had awful mattresses you could feel springs in your back. Pillows were that dirty I could'nt use one. Bath/shower was dirty on arrival. We arrived at 10pm so plenty of time to clean a room after the last guest,
In my numerous stays with booking.com this is by far the worst. Yes this is an old venue with character, but no excuses to to neglect being clean and habitable. I consider myself a good loyal customer of booking.com and this is not what i expect. Over the many, many times i have used booking.com. I have never been shocked and disappointed until now. Checking out and breathing the morning air was the best part of this stay. SORRY!
