The housekeeping staff were excellent and performed their duties very well. They promptly provided towels and toiletries upon my request and regularly changed the bed linen.
I particularly appreciated the restaurant waiters and the bell staff who assisted with luggage. They were polite, professional, and genuinely friendly. I am grateful for their kindness and humanity.
I paid for three nights of accommodation for two adult guests. However, due to my partner’s work commitments, he was unable to have breakfast on two consecutive days and did not stay overnight in the room, as he had to travel to a neighboring city.
I asked the reception staff whether they could arrange at least one dinner for him in lieu of the two breakfasts that had already been paid for but were not used. Unfortunately, I was informed that this was not possible. They also did not provide him with a takeaway breakfast on the third day.
At the same time, I would like to acknowledge the friendliness and professionalism of the reception staff and the restaurant waiters. They were wonderful people, and I was genuinely pleased to meet them.
The breakfast selection was quite limited, with the same dishes being served every day. Most of the food was not particularly appealing, with the exception of the fresh juices.
Overall, I was disappointed with the hotel. There was no welcome drink upon check-in, and the L’Occitane shampoos, shower gels, body lotions, and conditioners that are typically associated with the standards of the French hospitality group Accor were not provided.
For comparison, I stayed at the Sofitel in Shanghai from June 19 to June 22, 2026. Upon check-in, I was offered a complimentary glass of white wine as a welcome drink, and upon check-out, I received a small L’Occitane soap gift set.
Today is June 23, 2026. I checked out of this hotel on June 16, 2026, yet the amount of 600 MYR remains blocked and has not been released back to my card. Prior to my stay, I specifically contacted the hotel to ask whether any funds would be blocked and whether any charges would be deducted.
At check-out, the receptionist informed me that I did not need to take any action and that the funds would be automatically released within seven (7) business days. This situation is extremely inconvenient, as I am unable to access and use my own money.

Had an amazing stay. Special shoutout to Mr Renga, Cassy, Peshvin, Haziq, Fuad, Paul from Hskp, and the other 2 bell men I missed taking their names.

We liked the filtered water tap in the bathroom which saved us having to buy our own bottles of water, the only hotel we know of so far that provides this, such a good idea.
The ventilation fans in Kwee Zeen needs to be stronger, our clothes smelled of food when we came back to our room
The staff was beyond exceptional starting with Putri and the rest of the staff in the Lounge, to anybody else. The hotel in general is giving a feeling of new, clean and stylish.
The swimming pool is just average, a bit of a let down considering the level of the hotel.
This was our 2nd stay at Sofitel Damansara and the staff was lovely. I would like to compliment Ekbar from the executive lounge for his excellent service. During our 3 days stay at Sofitel, she was extremely attentive and was very warm towards us.

I love this hotel. I’ve stayed here whenever i’m in KL. The room is big and comfortable and the amenities are great.
A. The air conditioning does not work well in our room. I called the front desk and they told me that they will change the room but failed to follow up. I ended up having to go downstairs the check on the status. Disappointed with the customer service for a five star hotel!
b. There were ants in my daughter’s room.
We stayed at Sofitel Damansara and had a pleasant overall experience. The hotel is located in a relatively quiet area, making it a comfortable retreat from the bustle of the city, yet it remains conveniently located with shopping malls and dining options within a short walking distance.
The rooms were comfortable and well-maintained, and the hotel’s facilities were up to the standard expected of the Sofitel brand.
Service throughout the stay was generally good, with staff being courteous and helpful whenever assistance was needed. A special mention goes to the lounge staff, coinerge and Kajal from the housekeeping team, whose professionalism, friendliness, and attention to detail helped make the stay more enjoyable.
The parking rate is RM10 per exit, regardless of how many days you parked there without exiting.
Overall, a solid choice for both business and leisure travellers looking for a peaceful stay with easy access to nearby amenities.
