Nice location if you want to stay in old town next to the famous Mosques, hotel has a cute garden where it is nice to have breakfast, breakfast is good, in Turkish style, overall staff are very friendly and professional
If you are looking for a relaxing, comfortable and mainly quiet hotel to stay in, this might not be the best option. The building is very historic, you can hear absolutely everything inside and outside the hotel, all the noise possible, very hard to sleep. Standard room is tiny and very aged, go with a suite , only those have the antique Turkish style that are comfortable to stay in. Also the attitude of the night manager was quite surprising, the ladies running the hotel are lovely and offered options, the night manager only seemed to be sarcastic without helping to solve the issues

It was a very special place very quiet considering that it is tight in the historical Centre. Nice garden, cool roof top terrace overlooking the Blsporus and Marmara sea. The garden suite that we booked was best, spacious and had character. The entire staff was nothing but friendly and helpful.

The twin bed was a little small and hard
I booked Empress Zoe on recommendation from a friend. I was not disappointed. The staff was helpful in recommending restaurants, transportation and sites. Location was wonderful!

Cozy & cat friendly. Great breakfast choice, had table beside wood burner. Lovely courtyard garden with seating areas. Spiral staircase from reception area. Surrounded by great range of restaurants, walking distance to cultural centres, shops & public transport. Helpful reception staff & bags carried up & down for you. Room supplied with extra pillows & blankets. Also radiators & air con. Good sized room with plenty of storage.
Location is excellent, the room is small, but ok for one person.
One evening, the WiFi was not working for the whole evening and it was not repaired until the morning, even though it was promised by the hotel person. I stayed in the hotel only for 2 days and one of them was unfortunately without Internet.
Quaint hotel in great location being very close to major attractions and restaurants in historic district of Istanbul. Staff were very helpful and reception had an excellent selection of local guides books, though we didn't need these. Afternoon drinks are available on request if you go to the bar, which guests can take to the roof terrace.
We really enjoyed staying at Empress Zoe. Beautiful house with lots of character. The garden where we had a delicious breakfast was the best. Very peaceful and a bonus was Sophie and the cats who live there.
