Datenmissbrauch, Hilton Honor Mitgliedschaft wird ohne Einwilligung abgeschlossen

Der Aufenthalt begann bereits mit erheblichen Problemen. Der Check-in sollte ab 15:00 Uhr möglich sein, doch selbst um 16:30 Uhr war unser Zimmer noch nicht bezugsfertig. Nach langer Wartezeit und mehreren Diskussionen wurde uns ein Upgrade angeboten. Mir war die Zimmerkategorie völlig egal – ich wollte lediglich das Zimmer erhalten, das mir zustand. Schließlich kann ich beim Check-out auch nicht ohne Aufpreis länger bleiben, wenn dieser offiziell um 12:00 Uhr endet.

Zunächst erklärte die Mitarbeiterin an der Rezeption, das Upgrade sei kostenlos, da unser gebuchtes Zimmer noch nicht gereinigt sei. Kurz darauf hieß es plötzlich, ich müsse dafür eine Hilton-Mitgliedschaft abschließen. Ich habe ausdrücklich abgelehnt und mehrfach klargestellt, dass ich keine Mitgliedschaft möchte, sondern lediglich ein verfügbares Zimmer. Am Ende erhielten wir das Upgrade trotzdem – angeblich ohne Mitgliedschaft.

Umso größer war die Überraschung am nächsten Morgen, als ich eine E-Mail mit dem Betreff „Willkommen bei Hilton Honors“ erhielt. An der Rezeption wurde mir anschließend mitgeteilt, dass ein Mitarbeiter die Mitgliedschaft ohne meine Zustimmung abgeschlossen habe, da ein kostenloses Upgrade sonst nicht möglich gewesen wäre.

Das ist für mich absolut inakzeptabel. Eine Mitgliedschaft mit meinen personenbezogenen Daten ohne meine ausdrückliche Einwilligung anzulegen, ist ein massiver Vertrauensbruch. Ich habe dem ausdrücklich widersprochen und dennoch wurden meine Daten verwendet. So etwas darf in keinem Hotel passieren.

Abgesehen von der verspäteten Zimmerbereitstellung ist insbesondere der Umgang mit meinen persönlichen Daten der Grund, weshalb ich dieses Hotel nicht weiterempfehlen kann
