The staff are very polite and their service was excellent nothing. The rooms are spotless and spacious, very comfortable bed. It was great to have the fridge. The bathroom was good, water pressure excellent. The balcony was great, over looking pool area, beautiful gardens.
The hotel is in a quiet area just 5 minutes walk from the center, with a large pool surrounded by lush greenery, a great setting to relax. The staff were incredibly kind, smiling, and attentive, always ready to help. Breakfast was fine, not extraordinary but adequate.
The property could use some maintenance and small fixes: pathways in the garden have holes, sun loungers are old and worn out, and the kitchenette in the room wasn't very clean.
The biggest issue was security: our room could be locked and unlocked with the key to my mailbox(!!) and probably with a fork too. The official room key didn't fit the lock properly—but still worked somehow. Not reassuring.
Lastly, for what is supposed to be a premium hotel, we would have appreciated at least minimal housekeeping during our 4-night stay, no towel change, no trash emptied (also considering that you are not “supposed to” throw away toilet paper in the toilet).
Location was a small walk into town.
Entry foyer lovely.
Lots of really interesting nick knacks around the rooms and resort to look at.
The property looks very neglected.
Yes, it’s off peak/slow season but there are appears to be very little maintenance being done (& it shows).
For a 5 day stay staff had to be reminded to clean room and replace water (didn’t do it the 2 out of 5 days they weren’t reminded). Pool area- dirty and unwelcoming. Breakfast selection not great. As for the local dogs (yes, we know this can’t be helped) get ready for a cacophony of sounds multiple times during the night.
the room was a good size
no utensils/pots for cooking when where was a kitchen in the suite, no plates etc
Location was great close to everything. A short 1 minute walk brings you to a number of markets. The young staff really tried to meet all requests they seem receptive but seemed restrained.
They have a great dining room on site but no longer serve food. They advertise spa options on site but we were told they resigned. They have a great pool but not enough towels for all the guests. We had a great flat screen TV in our room that didn't work, I was for 5 days They were going to fix it but never did.
There were a number of tuk tuk drivers waiting to serve but WAY over priced. One day we took one to a restaurant that turned out to be on the next street 3 minute walk when we walked back and we were charged 8000 riell for the 1 minute drive we learned not to trust them they were ripping people off
Quiet hotel, large room, 1 km from town center, traditional atmosphere
No buffet breakfast probably because of the low season
Really nice and big rooms.
Good price
Location is really good. The city is just a small walk away
Could be easy a 10 star location
Staff is really scared to clean something.
There is no cleaning on Sundays.
They have such a beautiful pool and property, but they are not interested in taking care of cleaning or repair small things. (Mangos are swimming with you in the pool:))
It was spacious, common areas are well designed
I'm quite disappointed. I booked this hotel because I used to stay at Mane Boutique Hotel. Comparing both, it's day and night and the orignal price is huge. I would be so pissed If I didn't have discounted price. But even for 80%discount, it doesn't feel like good value for money...
First, there was miscommunication about airport pick up. While my indications were clear, they kept saying I was at fault. But then made me wait 30 mins for their taxi who was 'already at airport' while they asked to wait 10 min.... So I booked another taxi myself. I was then ok to not make a fuss but arriving at hotel, reception kept saying it's my fault.. Maybe not necessary.
Arriving the property, it's in a small street, hard to find (no signage).
I booked family suite. Living room looks more like a Airbnb. There are some deco like Mane boutique but not up to the same level. Shampoo bottle looks like coming from previous era (not purposely) in one room and was half empty in the other, tissue box is as old and refilled with half size tissues. One room had only 1 towel and the other bathroom had light not working properly which was scary. Cutlery were also dirty... No comments.
Had a coffee machine without capsule (I mention it because in Mane Boutique hotel I had it..)
Very nice hotel in a quiet environment yet within walking distance of restaurants and night market. The team is very professional and friendly. Nice swimming pool. Also very good value for money.
I found the accommodation overall lacking in customer service and amenities. There was constant noise from the tannoy system from the school next door all day from 8am to 7pm.
No lunch was offered, only room service at inflated prices. When I inquired about dinner, I was advised there was no food! My friend and I ended up at 7 11 for some dinner! Poor selection at breakfast, often frowned on for a second cup of coffee. Cold poached eggs were also served unless you specified you wanted hot eggs. There is no minibar service available although offered in the advertising. The bar fridges in the rooms are empty, and again on inquiry we were advised that they don't do that anymore.
Daily housekeeping was constantly chased for water and fresh towels.
I had included in my deal a spa voucher- I could not see a spa there nor was my offer mentioned at check in or any other time. No cold towel offered on arrival or any other time on return to the premises.
I put in a complaint over all of this, and was offered a free cocktail or soft drink with lunch the next day. This is when I expressed there was no lunch ever offered This then was rectified to a free lunch and drink, which we declined.
Although the pool area looked aesthetically pleasing, there were rats all over the garden.
No complimentary airport pick up/drop off-told this changed when the new airport was built.
For a place to call themselves 5 star, I would not waste the extra money per night and stay somewhere else.
The room was spacious and well set out. The bed was comfortable and day bed was very welcome. Large fridge was excellent. The wifi was good.
The TV didn’t work. I reported this to the front desk but nothing happened. The breakfast was poor . The first morning I ordered poached eggs when they arrived they were cold. Our second morning they had run out of milk so that meant no tea or coffee. Cereals were available but not helpful without milk.
Spacious clean rooms. Pool very beautiful and well maintained.
Breakfast very good
No real shower condiments.
No food available through the day
The location is superb and the place is really pretty, the staff are also very kind.
The beds were rock hard, flushing my toilet made the room stink. The shower was so low down that I had to crouch and it was very weak. The air conditioning unit broke and flooded the main room, which the staff very competently fixed but was a bit worrying. A small point but the design of the room leaves a lot of open space. This is not a bad place to stay but is far too expensive for what it is.
Staff were great, helpful and informative. The location was right in the heart of town but so peaceful and the pool was perfect for relaxing.
Not normally one to write such a long review but this hotel has great potential but so many little things let it down
We loved the room size also had a nice terrace but the furniture on it had seen better days
Great location 15 mins walk to night markets
Pool area mostly shaded but you will be thankful for that as it’s very hot here
Rooms very clean
Nice outdoor breakfast area by pool
The things that let it down
mini bar list but no mini bar items other than nuts
Hand soap was so small you could wash your hands maybe 3 times
Multiple items not replaced on cleaning , water, towels, soap sure you got it if you asked
24hr reception but saw the night shift asleep and one guy sleeping on a row of chairs
Tried to charge us twice for a room night
Air conditioning not very cold filter needs cleaning we asked but didn’t happen
Breakfast tables not set had to take cutlery and s&p from other tables
The outdoor furniture and pool lounges need an upgrade
Pool towels full of holes
Most of these are small fixes that would then make it a great place to stay
