Best hotel in Popoyo but 3 km from the beach
Pros:

The hotel grounds were nice, the room was comfortable, the staff was nice (especially Rudi), the food was good but American prices. It was a bit far from the beach if you don't have a car and not super easy to get to - a taxi was $20 round trip. The pool was really nice and a good temperature. The tap water is not good for drinking and the hotel charges $2 for a small bottle so bring your own. The beach is quiet and beautiful but very little natural shade, be prepared. There is a small refrigerator so stop in Rivas and get food.
