Great staff , good location, comfortable well facilitated room , even had netflix !
Cant really think of much
My partner and I visited for a few days in late July and what a treat we had....
From the warmest of welcomes, to the food, drinks and beautiful surroundings
This hotel is very special
The rooms are comfortable and spacious.
They have thought of everything that you may need
They even cater for dogs, with beds, blankets and treats !!
The views are spectacular and it is only a stones throw from the town centre
We were spolit with the choice of two swimming pools and a relaxed spa area.
I would personally like to thank the front of house team who made our stay extra special
A huge thank you to Leena and Julie on reception 😊 🙏
You are both a credit to the Harbour hotel
Shout out to the bar team who whip up some very tasty cocktails
We would highly recommend you visit this beautiful hotel 😊
Easy to park and good location close to seafront. Note you have to pay £10 extra per person for hot breakfast!
It is a shared terrace balcony so couldn't leave french windows open all night. Room was really hot despite fan. Bathroom a bit dated.
Excellent breakfast, fresh and good selection
Nothing it was excellent
Decent space of gym, sauna, pool. Mini bar in your bedroom. The fries at the upper deck is deliciously crunchy. Friendly and accommodating staffs.
A little bit of dirt on small details.
The pool was stunning. The staff were all very friendly and very helpful. Beautiful location. So close to the beach and shops. Felt very safe as a solo traveler.
I was in a single room and there was quite a large gap around the main door frame. The light in the hallway was on all night one night which lit up my room and kept me awake all night. So take an eye mask just in case. Other than that everything was amazing and I definitely want to return.
the good bits were quality of food in the restaurant and an ideal hotel in good weather. The not so good; within the first 24 hrs we were billed for two items (1 drink, 1 food) that we didn't receive (these were corrected after they were pointed out). The drink was a dry sherry we ordered but the waitress came back to say it was not available, however it remained on the bill. Finally (possibly we should take responsibility) I am fairly certain that my wife left her prescription glasses in the bathroom, (they are not at home and we didn't stop on the return journey) after several phone calls and corresponding promises no information has been forthcoming.
Breakfast was good. We enjoyed a continental breakfast.
We were in a room outside the main hotel, 107, and were opposite lots of extremely full and overflowing large waste bins. So disappointing.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The bar and restaurant overlooking the sea. Very well equipped rooms, fresh bottled water daily was a nice touch.
There was nothing not to like
We stayed at Salcombe Harbour Hotel as part of a trip to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We arrived to a friendly welcome from the reception team and checked into a lovely sea view room, complete with a sweet treat gift and hand written postcard wishing us a happy anniversary; thoughtful personalised touches that helped to make our stay special.
We headed to the terrace for a swim in the outdoor pool which was glorious on another hot, sunny day.
Continental breakfast the following morning was fresh and plentiful, served by friendly staff. There seemed to be just one staff member fulfilling hot drinks orders, additional resource here would be welcomed to speed things up and we noticed this last time we stayed at SHH last summer.
Checkout was swift and friendly. We look forward to staying again. Thank you SHH staff for another lovely stay.
Nice room. Good location. Reasonable pool. Pleasant waiting staff. Veranda area outside bedroom was great to use to provide some shade from the heat.
Small car park with inadequate parking. We were not advised until after booking and paying! Reception area was being refurbished - noisy and often early in the morning - strange timing July? Breakfast service - often finished breakfast before tea and coffee arrived. Clubs and members using the leisure facilities. Drinks and dining a little over-priced for the quality
Location was about it
Not enough parking for the amount of guests
Rooms had no ventilation or air con it was awful to the point I had the main door wide open and a member of staff felt the need to look in while walking by at 6 am (room was at the end of the corridor so had no need to be down there)
Our room lacked private outdoor seating other than every other room
£7.50 a pint out of a plastic cup…
£20 odd quid burger out of a take away box
Advertises breakfast included which to be fair it is, but bits of melon, flap jack or pastry or cereal. Actual cooked breakfasts which are usually included with a breakfast package where additional cost
Overall expensive for what it is or trying to be I suppose it’s more down to location really
A really lovely hotel in a great location. We visited during the July heatwave so the pool was very welcome and I made the most of it. The spa was also lovely and it had an indoor pool too. Our room was lovely and they gave us a big fan which was very welcome. We had a view over the sea and a rooftop seating area. The hotel is spotlessly clean. We also had a bath which we really. appreciated. It was quiet with no traffic noise. We were able to park in the car park no problem. Breakfast was nice. Dinner quite good. Overall a great comfortable stay.
