Continental breakfast is good.
Car parking can be tricky so need to factor that in on arrival. Cannot recall if we registered the number plate, I guess that we should have been advised to do that by check in desk. Tonic from mini bar is a tad expensive.
Very comfortable room. Great location.
Free gin in room but had to pay for tonic from the mini bar.
Location by the sea
Good room
complimentary Gin!!
it was winter
Public rooms a bit tired
Outside furniture left lying about gave a poor impression
The food was amazing. The upgraded room was very nice. We liked the free gin decanter.
The fact that a lot of facilities were closed due to refurbishment.
The room was fabulous and gin was a really nice touch. You thought of everything :)
I used the gym and there was whinging noise that was quite irritating. It would be good to have this fixed.
The other thing that would make the gym good is if there was a foam roller to stretch with after completely the exercise. They are not expensive and would be a great value.
We were there for an event all staff were helpful and friendly our room was lovely and comfortable only thing you may need a step ladder to get into bed lol
Location
The property is dated and the staff were not friendly, welcoming or helpful (often rude ignoring us and made us feel unwelcome). The hotel didn’t seem busy so we can’t imagine what it would be like in peak season. We ordered drinks three times and nearly an hour later they still hadn’t arrived, and the waiter just laughed and said “oops”. Very expensive for the service and amenities. The pool area needs updating and more seating. It was a shame as we were really excited about visiting.
Our package was a continental only breakfast. No complaints. Plenty of choice.
No improvement was necessary.
I booked specifically to be able to use the spa to help me manage a chronic health condition. This was stated as ‘includes use of spa facilities’ but when I went on the hotel website the entire spa was closed. I’ve stayed here countless times and had a brilliant stay but sadly there was a lack of accountability between the hotel and booking.com and they will not reach a resolution or give me a full refund. There has been a tokenistic credit of <£15.
Spa bed location
Cob webs around ceiling and doors alot
Great position right by the sea and very comfortable large rooms. Food was great in the restaurant.
Spa treatments and staff were lovely.
Pool area of spa is very tired with pealing paint, stained cushions and nowhere to really sit and relax if not in the sauna or steam room.
Excellent staff. Couldn't hve been more helpful. We got a flat tyre and the front of house staff got it changed for us by the maintenance men
We had dinner in Front Deck restaurant on our first night. It was Ok but nothing more. We were slightly disappointed. Sunday lunch was better. Pricing for breakfast was slightly odd, anything cooked was £10 which is fine for a cooked breakfeast but pricey for Porridge
