Locations fantastic, breakfast was fine , only ate what was included, I find it so annoying to have to pay more for a cooked breakfast, when did this start ? Takes a little bit of luxury away
When we stayed you had a wedding on, which we totally understand, but we just wanted to relax and sit in bar, to busy couldn’t even get down corridor, so we had to leave hotel and find another place to sit and relax
We have been coming here for years , we love the location & views.
The staff are also fantastic.
Not much to dislike but we do think the gate at the side of the hotel ( road side ) needs replacing & the stairwell outside which leads to the road area is often used as a dumping ground .
Movie theatre- we love this bonus but staff unfortunately don’t always know pass code to access it which is a shame
Room with excellent view of the sea
Very poor wifi
Really happy with the room and kingsize bed and balcony with lovely view. The food at the Jetty Restaurant was excellent too.
No dislikes.
Beautiful location and so clean. Our room was lovely
You can’t improve on perfection
Beautiful location.
The car park was very steep. No one told us there was a lift up to ground level. (We took my 89 year old mother)
Always stay here when in salcombe as you can walk into town and everywhere around ..
Nothing
Loved the location
Loved the room.
Great view.
Staff were lovely.
Didn't like that although we booked a room with breakfast included we had to pay an extra £10 each for a cooked breakfast. This was not made clear at the time of booking. The hotel receptionist said this was booking.com fault.
view was great and food was very good.
price was a little high and car park was quite full
Location and bar/restaurant are highlights. The staff were also attentive and upgraded us to a estuary view room with a balcony when they heard our stay was for a special occasion.
The inside of the kettle in our room had bad limescale, we asked for a replacement and they brought another in exactly the same state. The spa is quite small with only a small number of beds. Also, the window in the spa that looks out seems like it hasn’t been cleaned in months.
Location & facilities
Staff poorly trained, long wait times for service in restaurant. Very slow service, too few staff, who were obviously overworked
room was very well put together, very comfortable, lovely decor, wonderful view and balcony, even in February!
The complimentary Gin was an unexpected great addition too and appreciated.
coffee at breakfast was a bit lacking in flavour and quite weak.
The staff were friendly and helpful, the room clean and well stocked with complimentary tea and coffee. The addition of a glass of gin each in the room was lovely! The breakfast was nice also.
There was quite a lot of noise at night, from both inside and outside the hotel which led to disrupted sleep. The spa was smaller than I expected, and had a limited number of seats/loungers.
