Beliggenhet og utsikt fra frokostsalen
Veldig trangt rom. Veldig fullt i spa, ikke så ryddig og rent der. Mangelfullt til frokost
Beautiful hotel, with comfortable rooms. Breakfast was lovely, and dining room had fabulous views. Staff were all very friendly.
easy to walk on to the beach and into town
friendly and helpful staff
seated outside bar area
comfortable beds-very clean room
shower over bath - rather old fashioned and with no bar rather dangerous. Easy to slip getting in. and out the bath for a shower.
some waiters who served breakfast were untidily dressed- the waitresses were all smartly dressed.
No granola on the second breakfast of my 2 night stay
Stunning views
Delicious food
Friendly staff
Otel odaları temizdi .. otelin konumu ve deniz manzarası çok güzeldi..
Terasta masalar ve yerler hep kirli.. temizleyen personel çok yavaş.. kahvaltı ekibi de çok yavaş hareket ediyordu
The hotel was very clean and comfortable, the staff were great but very scarce, the night porter was fabulous and so so helpful. The maintenance man was extremely when one of our parties car didn’t start.
The parking was shocking and very misleading when booking a hotel with parking, our room was like a rabbit hutch, the breakfast was very disappointing in comparison to your Padstow hotel, there no staff at night in the bar, we had to wait for ages every night.
Nice views
Parking and notification of parking situation very poor.
We had to drive around several times to figure out the parking and we couldn’t get through on the phone.
Best of all was the stunning views of St Ives bay from the bar and restaurant. The pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi complex was pretty good although we found the sauna exceptionally hot (we've used a few so we know saunas are supposed to be hot). The food was generally excellent too. Our room was nicely equipped with a huge bed, a powerful shower and a decent amount of space.
Overall we liked the hotel very much.
Our room was the closest one to the spa complex and was boiling hot even with the windows open and radiators off during our two night stay - and the weather was pretty chilly while we were there so what happens in summer? We noticed the corridors (there are lots of them) that were in an extension containing the pool complex we're also very hot, but the corridors in the original building were much cooler, so the problem of excess temperature might apply to other rooms too.
Our room was at ground-level facing the road and it was pretty noisy until late at night and very early in the morning so the too hot room meant the windows were open and the room was therefore noisy.
And the stylish wooden blinds did not block an the light so we didn't have particularly restful nights all in all.
And a fan might have helped but there was none.
The staff were lovely and very friendly, the service however lacked precision and attentiveness - side orders got missed, we had to go in search of drinks where other places we've stayed someone would appear to take orders without having to ask. None of this was particularly bad but it was disappointing.
The walk into town - goes with the great view so not a complaint but worth prospective guests being aware. The road route is steep, be aware. We discovered a route through the hotel garden down to the train station and row of shops overheard down the steps. That involves less up and down but is once again steep in places
The local was perfect
The room was very small and no air con which made it very hot. At breakfast we arrived just prior to a large party which took the attention of all the staff and as a result we were not even asked if we would like a cooked breakfast. Then upon check out they tried to bill us for a breakfast which we didn’t have nor was asked if we would like one. We also paid for use of the spa facilities which included lunch up to £25 each. However we were not made aware that we were free to use these facilities any time as guests. When it came to the lunch we were informed we could only have pizza as there was a wedding on. We were not keen on that as we had seen the chef take them out of the freezer and wouldn’t be worth the cost. We asked for our £25 back at least and were told this is not possible but they could see if the chef would make us fish fingers and chips instead. By this time I was less than impressed and wanted to see the manager. We were told this would not be possible for at least a couple of hours as she is tied up with the wedding
The manager did however arrive a couple of mins later and refunded up the £25 each for the lack of lunch but we did not get a full refund on the spa experience despite it being included in our stay. It felt like non of the departments were communicating with each other and one member of staff in particular was very abrupt in telling us we would not see the manager nor get any refund
We paid extra for a sea view room which was simply wonderful. We even had a sea gull standing on the wondow ledge staring into the room to greet us! That I guess is pretty unusual. As the room had a bay window we have views of the harbour to the left, the beach below and far to the right. The staff were very friendly and helpful We loved the rickety old lift!
The shower floor could be slippery. For safety they should have a stable shower mat. I did not expect and did not like the climb up the steps from the train to the hotel. However, it was doubtless good exercise after sitting in a train for 5 hours!
Room was good very spacious, cooked breakfast was large but at a cost, continental breakfast was sufficient, evening meal was very good but (Lemon Sole with spinach only) but had to pay extra for potatoes and vegetables which I didn’t like
Had to pay £10 a day for parking because of the location of Hotel, extra cost which I did not expect
