10/10
Location and staff were excellent
Bed had a lump.in the middle and fell.away to both sides and the shower head leaked
Location is perfect and the hotel has lots of communal and dining spaces to eat and relax in. Breakfast had a good selection and was very well-organised. The whole hotel smells divine as well! Staff are very friendly and we really liked our room as it was well decorated and a good size.
A few minor things which would take it up to 5 stars for us:
1) We were initially told we hadn't booked breakfast as part of our package, and would we like to add it on for just under £200 for 5 days. Later, we checked the email and found out we had indeed booked and paid for breakfast! Could have cost us an extra £200.
2) We were very surprised that there was no still water in our room. Sparkling only. When we asked for some we were told to get it out of the globe in the front room, which was fine, but it wasn't chilled and so we had to drink room temperature water.
3) Our room was serviced each day which was nice but our water drinking classes were never replaced once during 5 days and nor did we ever receive any still water in our fridge despite our requests.
4) There was no loo brush in the bathroom!
5) We confirmed a late check-out with the front desk the day before our departure which they were very happy to agree to but this message clearly wasn't passed on clearly as we received a phone call, and two door knocks between 11 and 12 when we were trying to get ourselves out!
As I said, minor things, it is a nice hotel and we would consider staying again. Just a bit more attention to detail and sort out the drinking water issue would take it up to 5 stars.
Clean friendly. Close to all the major attractions.
Parking is an issue. It’s close but very busy public carpark opposite. And it cost 20 pound per day.
Love it!!
The rooms were great. The staff was helpful and very polite. The hotel was right where we wanted to be.
It was lovely from the moment we walked through the door. The staff went above and beyond to welcome us and couldn’t have been more helpful. The decor was beautiful and the breakfast was yummy.
Nothing everything was fab
The property was very central, great proximity to the train station and had wonderful character features. The staff were fantastic making us feel very welcome throughout our stay. Heidi checked us in and took time to explain the loyalty programme as well as her top tips for a stay in Bath! A lovely stay all round.
We stayed in Indigo hotels across Asia hence booked this one for our one night visit to Bath. Positives: beautiful decor, very helpful staff on arrival to find nearby parking, great bathroom and shower facilities, excellent location - within walking distance to all attractions. Negatives: our room was cold upon arrival. It turned out air con heating wasn’t working. It took 3 staff visits and 2 portable heaters over 2 hours period to get it sorted, in between which we stayed in the room feeling cold (my hands were freezing). We were warm for the night but only with the two portable heaters. What was disappointing is that whilst staff apologised, we were told in the evening it will be passed on to the manger who did not contact us. Next day on check out we said our stay was average because of this, and we got an apology. However I feel that temperature in the room is one of the essentials in the room, and it could have been handled before our arrival as it was evident the room was cold, or handled quicker than 2 hours and 3 attempts. Especially as second time we called we were told engineer just left for the day (why were they not asked to check our room before leaving the first time we called?). I appreciate sometimes technical issues can happen, and it’s ok if it does, however I think it’s about how a hotel handles such matters. In this case I’m disappointed it took this long, and that we were not offered even a small gesture alongside apology, it doesn’t take much - even a free coffee/pastry in the morning or a small gift, anything to appreciate we had a disappointing experience for the main amount of time we were in the room for during the day. We also had issues with WiFi continuously disconnecting and TV signal only showed BBC1. We were in room 118 which was on floor -2 overlooking the courtyard which had a large storage type outside which was making a noise throughout the day and night (presumably fans/some sort of machinery). It was difficult to fall asleep. We could also hear floor squeaking above each time guests above moved. Overall it is a beautifully looking hotel interiors and rooms, but disappointed with the facilities especially when room price is around £200 per night, I would expect to be at least warm and be able to fall asleep without continuous noise. I am leaving this review for any guests to avoid room 118 (or 117 as also next to the noisy part) and hopefully for hotel management as feedback as to how technical difficulties could be handled in the future to avoid disappointing guests.
The breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice
The bathroom did not have a toilet brush and there was no chair on entering the apartment by the wardrobe in the room we stayed 515. This would have been useful to remove shoes as the chairs available were down the stairs in the bedroom.
Location, service, quirky style
Cleanliness of shower, noisy pipework throughout the night, lack of any instructions regarding heating
Very clean and quirky rooms. Bed very comfortable and very quiet. Parking less than two min walk away. Shower was awesome and staff were friendly and professional, we really enjoyed our stay.
We arrived at 10.30pm and were not heard on reception we we pressed the bell. We got in when another couple were getting back to their room for the night, that would be my only ... Other than that we loved it and could not fault. We would definitely stay again.
