Great location to the city center. Room was very nice, and cool despite the outside heat. Bar next door was a fun place to hang out for afternoon libation before dinner. Funky and very fun interior and the staff were friendly, and helpful.
Could use washcloths in bath and more space for toiletries
The hotel is like a fairy tale, the decoration, the welcoming, the "tour" offered by an young men leading us to our room, even the young lady that made the checkout. Very nice place, near the centre and other beautiful places in Bath.

The location is perfect for exploring Bath and for hopping on the train for nearby places.
A charming hotel with most of the staff excellent, though there was one who twice said he would do things and didn’t. There were many issues with the room - curtain not fixed properly, the shaver point broken. Having to ask for towels and, most worrying, the two cases that the hotel was storing until we could check in were lost for an hour, and we had to ask 4 times for them, getting cross in the end.
We had booked to eat at The Elder restaurant, part of the hotel, but I was informed the previous week that it had closed and our booking transferred to the Brasserie Beau. This was not an equal swap - firstly seated in a cold and soulless back room, where I had to ask for the a/c to be turned down. Service was very average, though the server was pleasant, and we waited over 30 minutes between courses and also being asked if we wanted desert. Food was very average and the wine pricey.
Fire alarm at midnight which left all guests outside for an hour. The person giving instructions was inaudible and off hand when spoken to, no fire engine arrived (surely all hotel alarms link to the fire brigade?) and whilst it is obviously vitally important, the fact that there was no roll call or checking which rooms were represented outside. In fact, it was disorganised and not like any fire alarm that I’ve been associated with.
It was a pity that we had to keep raising issues that took the edge off our stay. If we stayed again we certainly would eat in the brasserie when there are better restaurants close by.
Booked late to attend the Rugby. The location of the hotel is excellent. Walking distance to the main town centre attractions and the Railway station.
The hotel is a conversion of numerous Georgian houses and courtyard. Our room had a musty damp smell which caused us to open the windows all night. The Bathroom needed a deep clean. There was a considerable build up of dirt and grime in the Bathroom. Strangely we had to book a table for breakfast. I thought these sort of restrictions were long gone. The Breakfast which was very tasty came with scrambled eggs rather than the standard fried eggs. I had no option to change this.
Everything perfectly
