The Soul House Bali

This property is beautifully decorated with earth tones and very cute decor- aesthetically very pleasing- you can tell it was professionally decorated which I appreciate! All staff were a 10 out of 10- professional and accommodating. This place has two pools, an adequate number of pool loungers, outdoor working areas, a small gift shop, and an excellent on-site bar with very delicious and creative cocktails. Some rooms are still being worked on including what looks to be some promising massage rooms. The only downside was I believe some rooms are dorm rooms and during my first night, there were some very loud young people who came into their rooms next door to mine being very noisy in the middle of the night. There is no cafe/restaurant on-site which would have been nice to have, but it wasn’t a big issue as you can easily order food on Grab. It’s located 5 min walking to the beach which is also a great positive! Lots of restaurants and shops around to explore. I would definitely stay here again if I come back to the Canggu area. :)

The whole experience was very average, the photos sell the place but once you show up the room is worn and curtains etc. are not clean. They seem to spend more time on the lobby and public spaces. I feel this place is charging based on location, not good value at all. When it came to check out, I had two people knocking on my door not a minute after 11:00. This is too much, I had my bags at the door but this is unnecessary pressure to leave. There are other hotels that can give better value.

Absolutely loved our stay at The Soul House, Canggu!
The villa was just as beautiful as the photos. Stayed with our 3 boys and they loved it too. We loved how quiet and serene it felt, yet still just moments away from all the incredible food, cafes, and vibrant energy that Canggu is known for. A short walk to the beach made catching sunsets easy. Truly the perfect balance of relaxation and convenience. We can’t wait to come back!

Big apartment, nice pool, nice bar, great location, great value.

We loved our time at the Soul House. We were a family of 5 and we stayed there over the Christmas 2024 break. I would definitely recommend the resort. It had everything we could have asked for. The people who worked on the premises all had smiles on their pearly white teeth. We plan on returning again soon.

Construction noise constantly and concrete dust everywhere outside but otherwise really good. Will be a great place to stay when the construction is finished

A few minutes walk to the beach & restaurants / cafes etc. Really good location.

The property itself was very beautiful, but unfortunately we were not notified of the construction around the property. When we arrived there was a large hole being dug directly outside the property this made access to the property very difficult and dangerous. If we were advised of the construction prior to booking we may re consider our choice but overall the property and pool area was very beautiful.

The apartments are beautiful and in an excellent location. Close to the beach and an amazing array of places to eat and drink, I couldn’t recommend the location highly enough.
The pool area is also lovely.
Unfortunately there is construction work next door (May 2024) which looks like it may be some time away from finishing.
I was disappointed that Expedia did not mention this at the time of booking, as it was very noisy and did impact sitting by the pool.
There are also no laundry facilities, which are listed as an amenity by Expedia.

Great spot! Clean, modern, very functional! Very walkable with restaurants feet away and the beach a short walkdown the street.

I stayed at the 2 bedroom apartment type- they called it Ocean View Apartment. The location was amazing that it was walkable distance to many dining places, yoga studios, spa and to the beach. The room was spacious and clean, with nice Balinese decorations. They provided a water dispenser in the room so we could safe from the Bali Belly ;)

Only a few downside was, there are on-going construction sites nearby the apartment and our room windows were facing the sites. The work started 7am every morning, and the workers could look inside our room through the windows. When we were in the apartment, we had to close the curtain all the time to block out them. And the alley to the apartment is very deem and not much light in the evening.
Also, we stayed there for 3nights and they provided only 1 bath towel each, and no replacement was given. We asked for new towels and they told us the towels are changed once every 3 nights. So be prepared to bring your own extra towel if you need it.

Overall, I quite enjoyed the stay at this apartment. I will consider to come back if the construction nearby is over. :)

Loved the position of the apartment, close to great restaurants and spas. The plumbing was a big issue though, 3 minutes into a shower and the water began to flood. It has clogged pipes, the toilet also stopped flushing on two occasions. Staff were nice enough. Asked for towels 3 times and it wasn’t till the next day that the same worker questioned oh you need towels as we were heading out for the day. The rooms were a great size. Loved the space. Construction didn’t bother too much either. The owner of this apartment is super friendly and easy to contact.

The apartments were beautiful , there was everything you could possibly need. The pool area was also beautiful. The location was excellent, walking distance to bars, restaurants and the beach. The only slight downfall was the construction work going on next door but it didn’t affect our stay , I would still reccomend to anyone looking for great accommodation in Canggu!

Great introduction to Canggu and Bali. Comfortable, clean and great location. Would return. 🙏
