Pros:

Strange owner. Strange environment in the middle of nowhere. Local beach not nice, rocky, not good for swimming. Indeed owner hates English. Would not recommand it.

Pros:

The bamboo huts are very basic.
Not comfortable beds at all, rock solid and the mosquito net was broken on arrival.
The Gentleman who owns the complex is very genuine
he was easy to talk to and did not come across as hating English people at all like other comments suggest.

nice Bungalow+money stolen from me.
Pros:

Positive:

The bungalow is approximately 20 mins by scooter from the main pier. The Klong Kong beach is 2 mins away.

The AC bungalow I stayed at was very clean. The owners seem very nice as well.

Negative:

When I arrived Koh Lanta from the US, I had 3,100 Thai baht and 500 USD with me. I booked a day snorkeling tour with the owner for the next day and thought It would be safe for me to leave all my money and electronics in my room. I put my wallet in my pants and stuffed in my suitcase.

When I came back from the tour, it was obvious somebody had opened my suitcase. (I remember where i left the zip closed). Upon checking, i found 2,000 baht was taken from my wallet. The thief however,didn't take any of my electronics or dollars.

When I mentioned this to somebody else staying at the property, he said another person told him exactly the same thing, that part of the money was also taken from the room.

This is very upsetting and i hope it serves as a reminder for all of you who is planned to stay here.

One more thing, there was no electricity or hot water the last day I stayed at this property. I had to take shower, naked in public.

The hotel staff are lovely
Pros:

Very friendly and helpful staff with a wonderful restaurant next door.
Be aware in low season the beach is very dirty.
Ko Lanta has a problem with bed bugs, this is not unique to any particular accommodation.
