Beautiful room, huge bed!!

Location was brilliant
Very cosy and peaceful
Location. Very large room with good amenities.
Nothing.
The hotel was very conveniently located and the staff were exceptionally friendly, helpful and understanding of our needs. They absolutely made our stay.
The decor is a wee bit dated.
Good central location.
Quite dated bedrooms. Only has baths, no walk in showers.
No Aircon.
Very charming but tired! Wooden bar holding up bath side, towel rail obviously moved and plaster showing- hadn’t been painted
No parking for my car so had to drag luggage from public car park
A lovely hotel, great location, a very nice boutique hotel
The room was very warm due to the hot weather we have been experiencing.
Historic coaching inn with well designed new rooms round an old courtyard, great location in centre of attractive old town, easy parking on site, comfortable air-conditioned restaurant (reservations recommended)
The ‘Continental’ breakfast was a bit basic. No croissants (just a few sweet pastries), no freshly squeezed fruit juice, no cut fruit (just a few apples and oranges) and everything else in packets
Great location, lovely room
Clean
Nothing
The location & the receptionist (Rebeca) who really tried to fix an unpleasant situation caused by another staff. Also another factor that influenced my decision to pick this hotel, was the Rituals products.
Lack of a fridge & AC during awful hot weather
We took advantage of a Travelzoo package with Bletchley Park tickets thrown in. Ostensibly it was good value.
The visit was spoilt by the hotel. Like most town centre, old coaching-inn type of hotels, the Villiers has no aircon. While we missed the worst of the June '26 heatwave, the room was still swelteringly hot at night, even with the window wide open and supplied fan running. We did not sleep at all on the first night. The car alarm going off in the courtyard right outside our room was not the hotel's fault but, having just got to sleep again, someone decided it was a good idea to drag a large 4-wheeled hotel waste bin across the cobbled courtyard very noisily at 5 a.m. and then drag it back again a few minutes later!! Same thing again at 6.10 a.m. with some laundry bins. The purpose of a hotel is to provide a decent night's sleep for its guests. This hotel failed miserably on this. All I got from reception was: "we've told them not to do that ". They've obviously had other complaints of the same problem.
Sorry but for that reason it's a 'never again' from us for the Villiers.
Bar/restaurant staff and food were great
Just returned from a lovely couple of days staying at Villiers Hotel. We did the Bletchley Park Package -amazing value !!!!
The hotel was lovely, excellent food in the restaurant and every friendly helpful staff. The day at Bletchley Park was excellent and entrance was included as well as £35.00 each towards dinner on one night . Excellent deal by Villiers and would def recommend.
Všeč mi je bila oprema in velikost sobe. Robustna vhodna vrata, fotelji v sobi.
Razdelilec za elektriko za evropske vtičnice, parkirišče pod sobo, tuš je v slabem stanju oz. Teče vidabiz pipe in tuša istočasno. Slab wifi signal v sobi. V kopalnici je deloval v sobi pa se je stalno izgubljal.
Lovely hotel in old building. Liked the quirky rooms and hotel layout.
Booked very last minute as accommodation for a wedding nearby.
We would have loved to have dinner in the restaurant but didn't have time.
Room was clean, however the bed was a little soft for my liking.
The room we stayed in was on the top floor of the hotel in the eaves. The shower head was attached to the bath taps but there was no way you could stand up to shower as the bath is in the corner under the sloping ceiling. Water was a trickle. Possibly the worst shower I've ever had! If staying in the same room just have a bath!
Room was hot so a fan would have been good.
Staff were friendly just a few things let this stay down. The room (105) was spacious but very hot (outside temp. only low 20's) and the supplied fan did little to make the room more comfortable. The bathroom needs some serious refreshing as the bath was almost impossible to get into and the tiling grouting very discoloured (mould?). The ceiling had paint flaking of and there were areas of mould. Not what we expected in a 4-star hotel.
Staff in the restaurant for evening meals although friendly, service let this down. Taking an order was slow and we had to remind staff on the first night. Food when it arrived was ok, but we needed to remind staff that we had been waiting 40 minutes for the main course on the second evening. At breakfast the continental items were a disappointment. "We have run out of marmalade and yoghurt" and we had to ask on both mornings for pastries to be refreshed.
We were told on arrival that if we had an evening meal on the second night, there was a 15% discount but on signing the bill for this meal, after an enquiry to reception were told this did not apply. Perhaps some training could be beneficial.
Overall - a disappointing stay - for a 4-star hotel. We looked at other reviews and were surprised by all that occurred and seen.
Staff Lucy and CJ were very good,........
Breakfast was ok but not for the price
