There's nothing to dislike
Villiers is a lovely hotel, we have stayed previously and would stay again. We ate in the bar two nights out of three and the food was excellent (we had our dog so didn't use the dining room). Exceptional staff, and Ruby (serving in the pub) deserves a special mention as not only did we personally experience good service (attentive and nicely paced, not rushed), but I witnessed her most professional, patient and KIND behaviour towards an elderly customer who was not particularly easy to reassure on something.
We did have some minor issues with our room this time (courtyard room 3) which we have not experienced in other rooms, and I fully explained these to the lady at reception who took it seriously
Great hotel, good facilities, clean well sized room and lovely staff. Great location for getting out and about around the surrounding area.
Room was spacious and very clean. Good size bed. Everything we needed, hairdryer, iron and board, toiletries, water, tea, coffee and fan. Water pressure was excellent. Breakfast was lovely. Bar stayed open for residents for as long as you wished. Staff were friendly and helpful. Nice area to sit outside.

Nice comfortable bedrooms and public spaces. Breakfast was very good with continental options plus a good variety of cooked food. Staff were very professional, helpful and friendly.
It is an old building which has been added to over the years. Whilst it is very nice I did have difficulty finding my way around at first but once I worked out how to get to and from my room it was fine.
Lovely room. Clean & comfortable. On site parking. Lovely meal in the restaurant.
We stayed over with a group of friends and staff were great and we were comfortable in the bar area all night. Rooms were great.
Dining was not great. Food was expensive and disappointing.
The property is quirky, yet comfortable, reflecting its former use as a brewery. There was p;entry of easy car parking. It was within easy walking distance of restaurants and pubs as an alternative to the hotel
The bath area of the bathroom was a little tired but perfectly clean. As o;dear persons, we found it tricky to get into the bath (necessary for using the shower).
