Easy place to stay right next to the airpot. Appreciated the big room and clean kitchen. And happy the windows opened at least a little. Was only there one night so didn't really check out the facilities.
Room was pretty heavily perfumed.
The breakfast was great had a lot of choices.
Dogs were seen in the the gated pool area getting wet wanted to enjoy the pool/hot sauna but due to health safety and santaity concerns did not. Feces and urine, fleas/Tick with human contact in the water not safe.
The breakfast was varied and delicious. There food was hot and well tended. the fruit was fresh and tasty, The coffee was really good.
There wasn't anything that we didn't like about tour stay at the Santa Barbara Goleta Marriott. There was plenty of places to walk our dog and the pet comfort area was clean and convenient. It was very comforting to be able to have our loveable pet with us on our outing. Thank you for your resolve to make us welcome.
The "Holiday" touches were great: "Elf on the Shelf" and "Hot Cocoa" in the lobby were well received by my family. The location of the hotel was very convenient to the UCSB campus where my daughter needed to be by 9am each day. It was only an 8 minute drive.
It would be nice to have more access to complimentary water. Also the wifi connection to the TV (Netflix) seemed a bit slow. Overall, the experience was great though.

Family’s friendly but still felt upscale. Nice room layout. Decorated well. Very safe and clean. Close to restaurants and close to Santa Barbara.
Excellent location
As a devout Marriott/Bonvoy member, I routinely book with this brand. The stay (one night only) was fine--neither bad nor outstanding.
The good:
The facility is adorable. The mission style exterior matches the vibe of nearby Santa Barbara perfectly. The outdoor amenities are great--games for the kids (and near kids) such as chess, ping-pong, and a putting green. Lovely outdoor BBQ space. Great deck area for hanging out with family.
The room was immaculately clean.
The location is great if you are catching a train (easy walk to the Goleta train station) or airport.
The bad:
The location is not an easy walk to a place to grab a bite or a drink. In fact, there is not much around.
The ugly:
The weather insulation for the room is so good that it was oddly humid. There is a subtle layer of dampness on every surface. Walking on the carpet with my socks on was a weird experience as every step was "squishy." Similarly, every counter was moist.

Very nice hotel with wonderful staff. Tommy at the front desk was very hospitable and friendly. The hotel was clean and nice looking. The lawn games in the courtyard were a hit! Also nice having a complimentary breakfast. Rooms were spacious and well thought out. Would definitely recommend!

The location for visiting UCSB was excellent in terms of proximity to campus. There are no real dining options within walking distance, so it's a good thing a full breakfast was included. That part was great, and the breakfast area is lovely, with indoor-outdoor seating. The courtyard with pool, firepits, putting green, cornhole, etc was lovely. Very social atmosphere. We brought our dog with us, and staff was very warm and there were plenty of places to walk him. The room, particularly the bathroom, was lovely. Lots of closet space, large desk, and the kitchen area was laid out well.
There were items in the freezer, and no conditioner in the shower, so not sure how meticulous the housekeeping is. The mattress was really bouncy, so if you are sharing a bed, you will feel every single thing your partner does. And with the couch folded out into a bed in the suite, it is really tight. There is not a lot of room to move around. But for a quick weekend trip it was fine. It was also a little freaky to walk into an unoccupied room and have the TV talk to us. Took us a few to figure out how to turn it all off.
Cheerful check in. Good breakfast. Quiet.
