The Taj is an iconic hotel a wonderful experience
Pros:

Club room was lovely for high tea at 3pm & drinks every day at 6pm
Well worth doing the heritage tour of the hotel so interesting to learn all the history

Tres bel hôtel mythique, très bien situé, mais très très dense
Pros:

Tres bel hôtel, mythique à bien des égards. Les installations et les parties communes sont superbes, les chambres sont également très élégantes, tout comme les salles de bain. Bon petit déjeuner, qui pourrait être plus copieux. La situation est bien entendu idéale, avec une vue plongeante sur la porte de l’Inde… L’hôtel dispose par ailleurs de plusieurs bons restaurants, aux tarifs élevés pour l’Inde cependant.

Cons:

Le nombre de chambres (plus de 280, et encore 200 supplémentaires dans la tour adjacente) donne parfois l’impression d’être dans une « usine », élégante et bien organisée, mais presque oppressante. Le bar de l’hôtel est un brin décevant, les cocktails notamment. Le prix de certains restaurants est excessif, on peut trouver bien mieux à proximité, pour moins cher.

A luxurious, historic and stunning hotel with Gateway of India on your doorstep.
Pros:

The hotel is spectacular, steeped in history with stunning architecture and staff on hand everywhere to cater for your needs.
They pay attention to the tiniest detail giving you a truly luxurious stay.
It has a gorgeous courtyard pool, the morning yoga and evening bbq here were excellent.
Breakfast choices are considerable and served in the beautiful sea lounge.
The gateway of India is on your doorstep and you can take a stroll around the vibrant area to local shops and restaurants.
Rooms are also very spacious and beautifully designed.
