A very pleasant stop-over
Pros:

Lovely hotel within an easy walk to restaurants. Very comfortable room which was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was pleasant with homemade jams and fresh pastries. There is no AC in the hotel, but the fan that was provided did a good job and keeping the room cool.

Charming hotel in perfect location.
Pros:

Great location with parking. Delicious breakfast.
Delightful lady on reception and at breakfast. Very comfortable room. Enjoyed Chinon very much.

Cons:

Nothing. Maybe would have preferred a duvet but not a big deal.

Charming hotel
Pros:

Another excellent stay at this lovely hotel. I look forward to returning again very soon.
During the current heatwave I recommend one of the ground floor rooms if available. Fortunately the hotel was kind enough to let us change our room to a ground floor room and despite the heat we had a good night's rest. Thank you.

great stopping place on our tour of the region.
Pros:

Lovely old building, decorated in a old sympathetic style. The bedroom was of a good size and fitted in with the style - even with sloping floor and creaky floorboards. the breakfast was very good and served outside on the terrace. Location was near enough to the centre of the town to be quiet - but accessible.

Cons:

We were on the second floor - which normally would have been great - but my wife was struggling climbing the stairs.

Charming delightful friendly, don’t miss this treat
Pros:

What a hidden treat. This hotel is so friendly, oozing with character and charm. Central location, quiet, beautiful, lovely courtyard garden. The breakfast was absolutely delicious with so many homemade jams we were spoilt for choice. All round very impressed with our stay there.

Great location, and value for this lovely Town.
Pros:

This is our third time staying in the Diderot (over 15 years - 10 since last time), great location, lovely little bar, garden is fab, always busy. It is quite dated and old fashioned, not a hotel standard bed or shower, feels more like your grandmother's house, BUT it is perfect and good value. If you are in Chinon, go to Les Annee Trente restaurant, as it is fabulous ....

A charming hotel in a quiet location.
Pros:

We have stayed here twice. It is a charming old Hotel within easy walking of the town centre and has private parking (if you get there early enough). It serves a traditional French breakfast with an amazing array of home made jams. Rooms are comfortable, staff are friendly and we would certainly stay there again.

Das Hotel ist sehr schön, sehr französisch

Cons:

Ab 21 Uhr werden alle Tore geschlossen, man kann mit Auto oder Fahrrad nicht mehr ein- oder ausfahren. Die Bar ist dann auch geschlossen.
