Great location (nearby public transport, tourist spot, eatery place), clean & comfy room, nice friendly staff. Definitely value for money. Recommended for a budget traveler

The female staff was rude, and most of the people staying in the hotel looked rather strange. The neighbor in the room behind kept knocking on the wall, and when we complained to the female staff, she said it was normal. However, when we spoke to the male staff, he responded politely and said he would remind the room next door (credit to the male staff for that).
The room had no window, unlike what was shown in the pictures. The size of the room and bathroom was fine, but the room had an unpleasant smell.
Not recommended — we had to check out early because we didn’t feel safe or comfortable staying there due to the environment.
What I like with Tang City Hotel only is its accessibility.
They have been in the business for quite sometime already and seem they didn’t bother to improve. Wi-Fi is only available to guests staying near the ‘reception desk’ when they could spend a little more ringgit to improve their connection so they can serve their clients very well. Televisions are not working (at least to the 3 rooms we booked). Toilet flush (in our room) is not working that we have to remedy it.

Ever since I’ve been to Kuala Lumpur, I make it sure that I am staying in Tang City. Very accessible to everything that a tourist would wish for.
The internet service is not just weak. It’s really very poor.
Overall, strange smell of mold in the room even after cleaning everyday, pillows are dirty, blankets and bed sheets smell bad when arrived on day 1, air conditioner filters were fully covered with of thick dust with smell of mold which I had to spend 1 hour cleaning them. Wi-Fi was not connectable most of the time in our room on 2nd floor. There is smell like rotten food on garbage truck in the toilet on daily basis.
Smell is the biggest problem.
A Malay old lady cleaner was stared at me with unfriendly eyes without reason. That made me feel very uncomfortable.
I was also surprised that I have to pay an extra tax of 10RM per day which I believe was not mentioned when purchasing the package on Expedia.
Other than these issues, location is perfect.
Nothing at all
Very bad experience with this property as they sold my room. I already pay for the room, then i get to the property they said all the room already sold out!!! Very unprofessional of your side to handle customer like this. I really feel disappointed with this property as i came a long way to rest for my run.
I think this hotel has renovation cause the furniture already too old more better upgrade and please attention the cleaness, cause stay there will get skin itchy .
