Pros:

Everything was perfect. We got an earlier check-in. The room was well equipped and very clean, beds were comfortable. The receptionist was very helpful and had a good command of English.

Superb hotel
Pros:

I spent one night in Hotel Russia back in June this year, I loved Pridnesdrovie so much that I decided to spend more time here after summer holidays were over, I had to stay again in this hotel as it's really beautiful and of very high standards. To my surprise I was given the same room number as before which felt nice. Upon entering the room a/c was already on, it was a hot day so it was a nice touch. Room service couldn't have been better, every day they changed towels, replenished drinking water and toiletries which is not something obvious in the "west". Buffet breakfast is really rich and of many choices. The restaurant and bar area is a really nice place to spend time. The rooms are clean and luxuriously furnished. All the staff were super polite including room service, security, breakfast service, bar and of course reception desk whose great representative was receptionist Elena.

Pros:

L'hotel està ben situat i és perfecte per visitar la ciutat.
Les habitacions són confortables i l'esmorzar és molt bo. A més vàrem sopar al restaurant i vam gaudir-ho força, el menjar era boníssim.
Les recepcionistes que ens van atendre van ser molt amables.

Disappointing interaction with certain members of staff
Pros:

The location was great and the facilities were perfectly fine. Breakfast was good with a decent range of options, and the reception staff were excellent - consistently pleasant, helpful and accommodating. In fact, the reception team were the highlight of our stay.

Cons:

We had an altercation with a member of the security team regarding parking. He misunderstood the situation and did not realise that we were hotel guests and had permission to park. However, what was most disappointing was the way he chose to speak to us. His tone was raised, his demeanour was rude and belittling, and he spoke to us in a manner that was completely inappropriate towards guests. Even after the situation was explained, there was no apology or acknowledgement that his behaviour had been unacceptable.

Misunderstandings happen. What is much harder to understand is a member of staff feeling it is acceptable to address guests in this way. A challenging situation can almost always be resolved through calm, professional communication; there was simply no need for shouting or such an aggressive manner. This interaction unfortunately wiped out much of the positive impression we had formed of the hotel.

Our only lunch at the hotel was also disappointing. What should have been a straightforward meal for two salads took around an hour. There was no proactive communication from the waiting staff about the delay - even a simple acknowledgement that our order was taking longer than expected would have made a difference. When we asked for an update after around 40 minutes, we were repeatedly told to wait “just five minutes”, followed by another 20 minutes before the food arrived. By that point, we had to leave.
Once again, there was no apology or acknowledgement of the poor service.

Ultimately, it was not the facilities or the hotel itself that left us disappointed; it was the standard of professionalism and, in particular, the way certain members of staff felt it was acceptable to speak to guests. The reception team demonstrated exactly the level of courtesy and service we would expect from a hotel. Unfortunately, the interactions with security and restaurant staff fell well below that standard and significantly impacted our impressions of the hotel.

A perfect stay if you plan to explore Pridnestrovie
Pros:

The staff in reception were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean and modern with lots of space. Everything was walkable. The restaurant stays open late if you need to eat late (until 11 pm). Hotel also has a currency exchange to change money and top up credits on the local sim.

Cons:

Everything is good. No credit cards can be used but that is standard across the country. Breakfast could have a little more choice maybe.
