Hotel was fantastic, staff lovely and very hard working, the food at evening meal was very good and breakfast was delicious. We had a great nights sleep in a very large room that was also very clean and comfortable, the shower was great. The beer garden was beautiful in the sunshine. Great visit thankyou.
Perfect value for money, clean, extra pillows available, hairdryer is good, tea-coffee, all is fine.
The hotel is right on the main city street, without A/C units in the warm weather when the windows are open it was extremely loud from by-passing cars and tractors, although thanks to thoughtful staff, there were ear-plugs left in the room for us, as they probably already knew about this issue.

Difficult to say much here. But the sausage on my breakfast was low quality and deep fried. But everything else about the stay was perfect.

Contemporary furnishings with a Scottish vibe. Pretty window boxes and a pleasant garden. Bedroom very clean and thoughtfully equipped.
Very noisy road outside the window. First time I’ve stayed in a hotel that provides ear plugs. Road noise stopped around 11.30pm
Lovely room. Nice and cool despite the heatwave. Blackout curtains and fan and comfortable bed made it easy to sleep. Good bathroom facilities ensuite. Lovely historic building. Likes the spiral stairs. Staff helpful and friendly. Good WiFi. Easy to park in free carpark beside hotel. Nice porridge for breakfast.
Breakfast finished a bit early given checkout was available as late as 11am.
Nice and clean and good service
I was very disappointed with the extra £10 charge. We were going to a wedding and we were arriving at 12am . We asked if the room was ready could we drop our bag into the room and we were charged £10 for that. Money for nothing

Fairburn was such a lovely place to stay .The staff were amazing ,and as it was such lovely weather we enjoyed the beer garden .Please eat there as the food is a good price and absolutely delicious
The hotel was nice and staff very friendly and helpful, breakfast was good.. My parents had the family room which was perfect for them and it seemed to be alot nicer than ours. On the face of it our room which was I think was either 8 or 9 was lovely.
The bathroom carpentry left alot to be desired, I'll fitting cupboards and over shooting taps. The boxing in around the shower is terrible and may leak eventually which may need to be looked at. The room was very clean and everything we needed for our one night stay
